HDTV Tuning details for Canal Digital on Thor (1 Viewer)

Hi,
Hmmm, messy setup or do you try to use MediaPortal old engine to watch HD?

I just downloaded MP last week so I guess it shouldn't be an old engine, which leaves 'messy setup'....

I appreciate your help, but do I feel stupid or what... First off I don't know what SVN is, but I saw it on the front page and thought I could download it and probably figure out what to do with it. But I don't even find the file to download! I find this page https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-tv-server-1-0-rc1-svn-builds-268/mediaportal-svn-snapshot-06-07-2008-02-05h-revision-19311-rar-40773/ but no file? I'll blame it on being tired, so I'm going to bed now and will try it again tomorrow. I've already followed your first four steps so.. just the last one left. G'night....


EDIT: Nevermind! In a last futile attempt I found the file But I am tired and will try on tomorrow.

Hi,
The double try on tuner was a bug in RC1, which means after you installed everything & used MediaPortal GUI -> Wizard & wizard added the cards to MP which it shouldn't, but thats solved in SVN (under each thread on SVN download it is a DOWNLOAD message in second post from top, use that to get latest).

Hi,
Seems like something it's wrong with the values, so you could attach all logs from trying to view it so we can see if anything it's wrong or make a stream dump(few minutes) & upload it somewhere for testing.

I have dedicated my life (or at least the day) to get this working. Sweden is playing on Tuesday, so I have a tough dedline by then!

How do I create a stream dump?

Hi,
kimsy, try updating to latest SVN(there is updates to both TsWriter & TsReader + more logging), also try another audio decoder for TV then AC3, just to check if that does anything)

Hello Roy,

I updatet to the latest svn, thought i had it but that assumption proved to be wrong. I also tried to change my audio codec to MPV, this didn't help much. I did notice a difference. Instead of the screen turning partially green witch some weird image at the top, the screen is now completely black on that channel. The attached logs use ac3 but as i said i also tried mpv. i can also add that all my other hd channels work perfectly as they always have. the tv2 sport hd channels are in 720p while all the others are in 1080i, I also belive they have a significantly higher bitrate.

Yeah, guess this could be something to TsWriter i'll send a PM to Ambass about this, maybe he knows what it is.
Btw, you can also try a rescan of channels maybe something new it's added to that channel freq...

Now I got i t working in DVBViewer, and I hope the solution can help you troubleshoot in MP?

In DVBViewer there is a setting that you can select in the configuration for the TV Card:
Open Whole Transponder

With that option selected, all I get is a black screen. With that option deselected I have a perfect HD video from the European Championship

Do you still want an upload of a raw TS dump?

I'm really trying to, but after I got it working in DVBviewer, my MP installations has gone "mad". For some reason, I really cannot figure out, I now get "Unable to start timeshifting - Unable to start graph" on all my DVB S2 channels
I have gone through all my settings over and over again, but I cannot remember chaninging anything in MP TV Server settings. It does not work form neither TV Server preview, TV server manual timeshift, nor MP client.

The only chnage taht I'm aware that I did, was to add the "C:\dumprawts.txt" to my pc. But after that i have removed the file again.

I know it's way off topic, but do you have any quick hint to what I could have done wrong? Could anything I have done with DVBViewer have caused this? It was working only minutes before.
