Lastnight I spent several hours installing/uninstalling MP SVN spanshots to find out when my fast-forwarding/re-winding broke. It was 16540 when TsReader was set to be the default and only player for .ts files.

Can anyone confirm that FF/RW works in newer builds. And I don't mean skipping forward x seconds. I mean 2x, 4x, 8x, etc and the pictures go zooming past smoothly. This is with NVIDIA codec. For me the picture freezes and the timebar only gets half drawn, I can resume by hitting ply. FF/RR works somewhat when using MPV but still very jerky.

Is this I known problem or is just something on my system? Maybe time for a rebuild?
Any help would be very appreciated, I've been trying to get this working for ages.

Cool, i was searching a long time but didn't find the rev since when it was broken.
So did 16540 the last working version or the first in which it was broken?

    BTW:
FFWD works for me but FRW doesn't work ;)

Broken @1654w When the check for UseTsReader.txt was removed and TsReader was used by default. Are you also using the Nvidia Codec?

    Hehe, just tried it.
The problem was even before 16540 but if you did not create the c:\useTsReader.txt file, TsFileSourceFilter was used and there, FRWD works.
So we still have to find the rev were FRWD worked WITH TSREADER if it ever did.

I have tested pretty much all the codecs available in my machine (Cyberlink, Nvidia, MPV, Dscaler, fddshow) and none of them will work with FF/RW. Few days ago i went back to 0.2.3.0 release and when configuring system, FF/RW worked ok until I took TsReader.ax in use by using c:\useTsReadet.txt file. I just have to use that due local DVB subtitles technology.
As far as I can remember, these problems started well before 0.2.3.0 release. Can't tell when TsReader.ax got broken with FF/RW.

Who understands the internal workings of tsreader enough to say what might cause this problem.

I am getting interested if there is anyone with recent builds having FF/RW working OK?
Just want to know if it is something wrong in all my 3 individual MediPortal system system. Would not want to spend more time trying to figure out solution to this annoying feature.
And yes, also recorded TV (.ts) suffers about same "loosing timecode" feature. When only jumping on stream, timicode stays as it should.

I posted this on another thread. I am having issues with recording in TS format. The playback of the recording is like FFWD and doesn' t play smooth at all. Recording to MPEG results in no audio when played back in MP.

All this on BEV HD with nvdia decoder

I have tested a lot of combination using a plain AVI. Result are here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/myvideos_f_fwd_and_f_rwd_not-t33036.html.

I'm now on RC2, just to complete this series of test, but I'm not able to play a TS raw stream file selecting it from MyVideos section. Will try with 0.2.3 stable as soon as I have time to...

Is this a good way of testing this issue ?
