How do I get my Leadtek PxDVR3200 H to work with Media Portal (1 Viewer)

I just put one of these in my HTPC.
All i did was;
Install the latest drivers.
restart the tvserver service. ( cause im to lazy to restart the pc)
open tv server configuration and there it was.
scanned for channels and fired up the tv client..
everything worked with out a hitch

The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.
It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.
