I mapped the F8 key using zion22's directions (thanks!) and it works when watching a recorded show using "My Videos", but not watching the same show through "Recorded TV". Is it supposed to work there as well?

It currently will not work in the recorded tv section because it can't see the .txt chapter file.

There are plans to remedy this in the future.

Add the recording folder to your "Movies" section and watch it that way until they fix it.

Any news as to if/when this will be fixed? Although it isn't a show stopper, it is a little irritating having swap to Videos section when watching recorded TV so that I can use comskip properly with the keyboard.

I'm a little confused. I recently reinstalled XP and MP, and now the replay/skip buttons on my MCE remote are not working. I followed zion's post as far as configuring the F7/F8 buttons and it still doesn't work. Is this a problem with the latest SVN? Any way to fix this as of now?

Configuring the buttons should still work. But you can now turn on Automatic skipping in the general configuration area.

Okay, manually skipping works fine when viewing TV recordings from the videos plugin, but not from the TV plugin. What's the status on a workaround/fix? This worked fine with RC3, maybe I'd roll back to a previous version if I knew where it was broke.

I don't know that that ever worked ... at least it never did for me.

I don't think we'll be making any changes to the tv recordings handling until after 1.0.0.0 is released.

Hi and-81, completely off thread but i never actually thanked you for sorting out the automatic skipping, its so good. So . . . thank you!.

Sometimes my wife likes to watch the ads (dont ask!) so could we map a button on the remote to select automatic skipping on/off. This would be far easier than opeing up the config screen etc etc.
