Don't know for MP2, but for MP1 it is an option when installing Onlinevideos

The MP1 Plugin is not required with MP2.

Yes it works now by manually entering the path. However when i try to edit the settings (like because i want to disable the share watch)

You need to be more precise with your description, if you want help. Where do you receive the failure? What kind of hash value? Any version? Did you try to install different versions?
