Your question is a little vague, but I'm guessing you're talking about setting up tuner<-->channel mappings. You may possibly have figured this out by now, but anyhow the answer is that you can scan with tuner A and then map to tuner A and tuner B. In other words, you don't have to scan tuner B.

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC.
TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.
