why not use the scan Option with a frequency list and the results are stored in the db

To be clear, I absolutely agree with this. I want to add support in such a way that SAT>IP and CABLE>IP tuners look like regular DVB-S or DVB-C tuners. Scan would be with the normal frequency lists etc.; you wouldn't know the difference. The TV library would be responsible for PID filter management, telling the IPTV source to send the required RTSP commands over the network.

ok that is your Option i mean it is better/or should is say simpler to cut control(RTSP) from media (Mpeg TS over RTP)

Problem is that the RTSP OPTIONS command is used as "keep-alive"... so RTSP is partially related to streaming. I agree that it could be done several ways, and to me the best approach is not 100% clear. I'm very happy to listen to your suggestions.

yes sat>ip use Options request for Keep alive other GetParameters that is what i mean

it is opensource and yes it is not the last source that runs on my Maschine

hmm was machst du da... einen XML umwandeln in m3u warum ?

We are in the English section so I will answer in English

For EPG we need the whole transponder (no other solution yet as you already know from the last pages )
And you need a way to create a m3u file for scanning with MP, thats the only reason for converting our Tuning parameters to a m3u file.
