Hi,

Great work getting this DD tuner working.
Following "Metode 1" I had it up and running quickly :)

Just a few quick questions.
Am I correct in assuming that I should increase "Number of IPTV cards" to the number of tuners in my OctopusNet? (2 dual tuners, so in this case 4 IPTV tuners in MP).

My old DD Octopus/DVB-C card could tune multiple channels on one tuner as long as they were on the same transponder, is that possible with the OctopusNET tuner? (I tried but it did not seem to work).

Since I use a 3rd part provider with the XMLTV plugin for EPG I initially wanted to follow the second guide using the tool from DD.
But that does not come with a transponder list for my provider (DK YouSee).
I was looking in the default transponder CSV files to see if I could figure out the format, but without luck.
Does someone have a link / guide to how I create a Transponder list for my provider?

But again thanks for bringing the DD OctopusNet to MediaPortal, now I can vMotion my virtual TV server between my 2 ESXi hosts ;)

sure, you can do that :)
But don't forget to map the channels also to the second card ;)

I'm not so sure about this, would have to try it myself :)

You would need transEdit from DvbViewer to make a scan.
With the tool there is a porblem anyway right now. For EPG we thought we only have to add the pids 16,17,18 but that leads to other problems, but there is no updated version available yet.
You can get the latest version (since a view days now official) here: http://shop.digital-devices.de/epag...jectPath=/Shops/62357162/Categories/Downloads
There you need the "OctopusNet Konfigurations Tool"

We are happy to hear this! ;)

I have an Octopus Net CT/2 with the new 1.0.17 firmware. THis version should add CI support but i'm not able to view any of the encrypted channels (i know my cam and smartcard are working). Is there something that needs to be done in m3u (extra parameters in the RTSP links) or additional custom code that needs to be written? I'd be happy to help make this work just need a push into the right direction. (I have Ziggo TV DVB-C subscription)

I figured it out... Because i don't have a preset for Ziggo in OctoCast i had to figure out the exact urls. After scanning every transponder globally i had to update the RTSP url in the channel editor for each encrypted channel by adding: &x_pmt=<value specified as PmtPid>. Also i managed to reduce the stream coming from the Octopus for each channel by filtering the specific pids for each channel replacing &pids=all with &pids=0,16,17,18,channel,specifics,pids. Lots of manual editing for now but at least i can now watch TV using the Octopus ;)

Has this been improved yet, or is it still required with lots of manual configuration to get encrypted channels working?

If you use the octoCast tool it will give you the urls with everything you need :)
But we are currently working on implementing SAT>IP in our TVE3.5, but we can't give you any time frame ;)

I've recently purchased the OctopusNet device, but have been unable to get any of the two methods suggested here to work :(

Using the first method and tool, I am able to start the channel scan - but the TV service keeps crashing (randomly after scanning 1 or a few transponders). This is what the TVService-Error.log contains:
    Code:
    [2014-01-30 02:58:19,701] [Log ] [19 ] [ERROR] - Exception :TvLibrary.TvExceptionNoPMT: TVDvbChannel.OnGraphStarted: no PMT found
       at TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.TvDvbChannel.OnGraphStarted()
       at TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.TvCardDVBIPBuiltIn.RunGraph(Int32 subChannel, String url)
at TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.TvCardDVBIP.DoTune(Int32 subChannelId, IChannel channel, Boolean ignorePMT)

I also looked at the TVService.log and it was littered with lines like this one:
    Code:
[2014-01-30 03:12:28,519] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Debug: SSDPClientController: Problem parsing incoming multicast UDP packet. Error message: 'Invalid HTTP header line '''

I'm using MP 1.6 on Windows 8.1 x64. The TVService appears to be executed in Windows 8 compatibility mode and using .NET 4.0.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

PS: As an aside, I noticed a reference to gentle.log in the TVService.log.. looks like it's using an OR-mapper I wrote many years ago  :)
