It creates a .jpg with the same filename as the recording in the same folder, as well as a jpg in the thumbnails folder for mepo. If you are good at editing .bat files you could make it also create a folder.jpg if that is what you desire.

You can hack the skin files to show folder style images with tv recordings, however mepo tv recordings doesn't officially support folder images.

Use my plugin if you find it useful I will show you what to change to create a folder.jpg image. The change required is actually really small + simple.

You need to first explain: Why is it you want a folder.jpg image when MePo tv recordings doesn't support displaying the folder.jpg image?

my 6yr old son is a master at navigating MCE for his recorded TV (when he's allowed to sit in front of the TV), it provides a thumbnail of the show on the folder, when you enter the folder it displas thumbs of all the episodes (i'm sure you're aware of that).

i'm just trying to replicate that so it's a little easier for him to find the show he's after.

I don't think recorded tv is suitable as you need to be able to read.

You could use my videos shares view along with my plugin and an alteration of the last line of the .bat file, that would work. It would fulfill all of your requirements. thumbnails for folders -> thumbnails for episodes. However it wont be able to add thumbnails for your existing recordings because the filename format will not be the same as mepo tv recordings.

The other option involves using my tvseries, but you will need to know the season + episode #'s for all your recordings. You could achieve a view like below. The navigation method is fixed to Show -> Season -> Episode.

Is there how to document anywhere?

Also, will it be able to create fan at for new recordings?

if the tvshow name from the epg matches with a tvshow on fanart.tv or thetvdb.com it will create a thumbnail otherwise it will behave just like my tvrecordings and create a screen grab thumbnail.
