Garry,
Im guessing we shouldnt test the new RC4 with the latest HD-PVR dll's? Will they work correctly?

Thanks!
Wile E.

Probably not. I'll post another build with the latest SVN and my HD-PVR support this weekend.

Well, after much playing and frustration, I have ended up using the RC4 tv-server you created with the RC3 MediaPortal. I had quite a few problems with the RC4 version of MediaPortal (Im not sure if its the problem, but Im using the new MediaStream by pilehave skin.)

    Couple of questions...
When I record a show, sometimes the episode information is captured, and sometimes not. Even when the episode information is captured its not in a format that MyTVSeries uses, so I have to manually change the name of the files. Do you use MYTVSeries? Are there Recording Settings that I can change so it picks up the information automatically? I have tried quite a few of the Recording Settings with no luck :(

How are your channel change times? I have DirectTV and have found if I turn off the Dolby Digital on the STB's, my channel change times are MUCH faster. I just upgraded to the new HD-PVR drivers (1.053 I think) and that didnt seem to make much difference at all. I guess my question is, have you made any modifications to the TV-Server to help increase change times? (With DD on, 10+ seconds startup and 5-7 seconds change time. With DD off, 6 seconds startup and 2-4 seconds change time.)

    :D again Garry!

I am also trying the modified RC4 build posted above. It works fine when server and client are on the same system. However, I cannot get the client to work on another system. Been debugging this for a day or so and running out of options. I've also seen a couple of threads where others have had similar problems with RC4. Everything appears to work on the remote client except for lack of TV video and audio, plus "no video/audio" errors. Does anyone have this working or similar issues?

I don't use MYTVSeries. What does it do?

MyTVSeries organizes your TV Series files into a more logical view. I wasnt too fond of it at first, but after the MediaStream port of the plugin I kinda got hooked. Its no big deal renaming the files, its only a few a week. I am just thinking of the poor guy that has to rename a huge number of files.

I would try running Garry's RC3 client with the RC4 TV Server. That solved all my issues, and I too spent countless hours over the holiday to get that combination working....

I'm running my RC4 build on clients as well, but it had to disable RTSP on remote clients to make them work. Search the forums for "usertsp".

Thanks for the tip Garry. I will try to re-install RC4 and see if that resolves my issues...
