Oops, double post. Everything seems to be working ok so far. I'm having a hell of a time trying to transcode my recorded streams though. I tried MCEBuddy, WinAVI Converter, Mod Converter, & AutoGK to no avail last night. I used Arcsoft Total Media Converter this morning and then went to work, but when I left it had already gotten way further then any of the other programs. So, I'm crossing my fingers and waiting to get home to see how it pans out. Do you transcode your streams for archiving purposes, and have you found an automated system that works for you? I don't mind doing a little bit of script writing to move stuff to their appropriate places, just really looking for a way to shrink the files after I've watched them / X # of days. MCEBuddy looked like it was going to be my best friend in the world, but alas, it crashes with mencoder.exe errors. I even d/led the latest SVN build of it in hopes it would work better, but it got a little bit further and just canceled converting 10 mins further then the previous try.

On a brighter note, I ordered the Hauppauge HVR-1600 yesterday and it should be in tomorrow. From what I read over at the SageTV community, this card should work as a dual tuner instead of a hybrid tuner and I'm hoping to have 3 inputs working by the end of the week/weekend. (Wish me luck....lol) I'm still working on getting the iMon IR receiver / front display working correctly, and I've tracked down a user on the forums here that has the same case as I do and hoping for a reply back from them with what settings they're using. Once I get that figured out and the Harmony remote programed, it's time to hook it all up to the main TV. THANK GOD I'M ALMOST THERE!!!! If it wasn't for the kind users on these forums, I probably would have ditched MP and gone with BeyondTV/SageTV by now.

PS. How long is it taking to start up My TV in the newer builds? Faster then 10-15 secs?

I made some changes to the timeshifting methods, which should avoid the 10 seconds delay during startup. The problem was that the graph wasn't running when TvServer tried to get the PMT for the first time.
You can find attached the new version for last public SVN. If it is working or not logs are really needed, as I changed a lot in those methods.

    Hey MisterD,
Here is what I have thus far...

I installed the new version and mapped the channels. I went to Manual Control and tried to start timeshifting but got a "No Video/Audio Detcted" error. Are the channels still supposed to be mapped to SVHS #1?

    Here are the logs :)

    Thanks!

EDIT: I tried several selections other than SVHS #1 last night, most said "Unknown error". I was not able to get the new version working. :( I called it a night at 11:30PM (sorry I dont have those logs to post, if you need those logs I can post them tonight.) Thanks again MisterD...

Wait, am I being retarded? In the original (as in, svn posted in the OP) version of this, which appears to be working for more than a few people, my channels were mapped to SVHS #1 by default - thinking this was wrong I changed them all to RGB #1. Was this the wrong thing to do?

This is probably a question for Garry, but I left mine to the default. They worked fine as is, so I didnt change them....

    Hey Chesh,
I dont archive my recordings, sorry Im of no use there. I record a show, I watch it & delete it. Im not too much into keeping TV series for some reason, Im more of a movie buff myself.

With Garry's builds, the startup time is around 5-6 seconds and 1-2 seconds between channel changes. The SVN builds have been around 10-15 seconds, but MisterD is working on that for us ;)

    Hi,
I found the bug. I did a wrong conversion, which prevented the TvServer to do its work :( You can find attached a fixed version. Hopefully you get a picture now.

About the channels: The channel defines which video input of your HDPVR you want to use. In 1.0.2 it will be possible to select the audio input as well. The code for the HDPVR is already there, but not for the other analog cards and therefor disabled. Hopefully in 1.0.2 the TvServer will create only the available channels of a device.

It should have no effect with my builds, I never got around to making anything other than the component inputs work.

I just tried your latest version and I still get "unknown error occured" when trying the Manual Control.
It takes a few seconds the first time and the following times the error appears right away.

    Here are the logs.

I found the next bug. Sorry for this trial and error, but I can't test it myself.

The updated version can be found in the previous post.

Seems like we are getting closer. This time, after 30 seconds it say "no audio/video" message.
If I try a second time I get an instant Unknown error like last time.

The logs contain only the first attempt to start the timeshift.

One thing that I noticed is it seems to freeze the unit everytime I try to timeshift.
After the manual control, I would loose the IR blaster (says no hardware found in the config app) and I would be forced to power cycle the unit. I decided to try RCTVCap and it was not capturing at all until I power cycle.
It seems that what-ever TVServer is doing is freezing the entire unit.
