New DD Patch

I rebuilt my patch against latest SVN release (23407).
I haven't had a chance to test it, but it's basically 2 lines of code so should be about the same as before.
Let me know your results if you try it.
:D

Thanks Sjeffrey, I will try it tonight.

I was going to post yesterday but things at work got real hectic, but I tried the AC3Filter and it works perfect for me! The AC3Filter app has a checkbox specifically for video Jitter, so that seemed to eliminate my issue. Im not sure the exact issues you were having, but do you still have the same issues on MP 1.1? My setups use the following configuration...

    Media Server (with SPDIF)
Video Codec - Cyberlink PowerDVD 8
Audio Codec - AC3Filter (With SPDIF turned on)
Audio Device - Default Direct Sound Device

    Client Machine (with Speaker output)
Video Codec - Cyberlink PowerDVD 8
Audio Codec - AC3Filter (with SPDIF turned off)
Audio Device - Default Direct Sound Device

Both machines work great, the audio sync is perfect and doesnt drift. When I am watching a channel the DD switches on and off great between commercials. When I change channels it switches between DD & standard audio just fine with no jitters. I have used it two nights now (granted is a small sample period) without issue.

I have two more machines to convert to Windows 7 & MP 1.1, so I will get to do more testing hopefully this weekend.

So as of now I am VERY happy, but I will gladly test your patch.

Thanks for your work on this and thanks for the advice of the AC3Filter....

That's great news! I haven't seen the jitter checkbox in AC3Filter, I'll try it tonight.
If you want I can try that checkbox before you screw around with my patch, specially if you say it works great now, you should leave it alone :)

I am using version 1.63b of AC3Filter. The screenshots are the settings on my media server (with spdif)...

Neither of you are using a ATSC card, are ya? I really want to try out 1.1 for the test channels feature added to TV Server as Comcrap just switched up the QAM line-up again on me. Was hoping one of you might have some insight on how well it worked.

What is the test channels feature? I'm using a HDHR for ATSC, although I'm running OTA instead of QAM.

No ATSC for me, just the HD-PVR.

    Hello everyone,

Like many others on here i'm an MP noob. I have my HD-PVR up and running. I have the channels finally mapped to the HD-PVR. The problem I have is that when I select any channel I get audio and no video. The previous UI screen just stays there but I have no interaction with it. Typically i'm forced to shut MP down. I assume this is because I don't have the correct codecs installed.

The software I have installed and use on the box is TotalMedia Theatre 3 Platinum and TotalMedia Extreme. I don't care to use PDVD in any fashion. Unfortunately I don't get any Arcsoft codecs listed in the MP client configuration. All I see are Microsoft DTV-DVD and MPC-MPA for MPEG-2 and MS DTV-DVD for H.264. I also installed CCCP but also do not see any more codecs. So what am I missing?

Thanks for any help! (someone should write a nice step by step wiki ;-) )
