Intel Remote Keyboard - Very Handy! (1 Viewer)

Just discovered this, AFAIK only works with Intel chipsets, but it does work very well, it's free, and there are both android and iOS apps.

I haven't tried the Intel software, but I guess it's a bit like Unified Remote - which I use for doing things (from a tablet) that a simple remote with buttons can't handle well, like full mouse emulation.

That looks good too, I'll try that out. I was just thinking that it might be worth buying a cheap android tablet, so I can wander around the house and easily interact with the the 4 HTPC's (for maintenance / updates etc).

That's mostly what I use it for - I prefer real buttons on a remote for day-to-day use (I use a PS3 Bluetooth remote via EventGhost), but it's perfect as a backup to that. There is a (paid for) MediaPortal remote add-on for it as well.
