iPiMP 5.0.0 is released (3 Viewers)

I'm encountering the same issue with the 5.0.1 patch as reported three posts above.

Restarting Apache didn't resolve it.
I have installed iPimp in an existing Apache instance, perhaps I need to make some manual corrections after running the patch?

Just a short comment on what I observed when I installed the patch a few days ago:
The patch always installs on C:\Program Files\iPiMP (or something like that) regardless of the actual location of the iPiMP installation. Maybe this was only a problem on my system, but everyone should look out for that.
I noticed it because I was not getting the browser button in live TV streaming and the about window still said version 5.0.0...

Hello,

First of all I would like to congatulate you for you work and thank you.
Just a few words to tell you that it works great on my side. I don't have an iphone or ipod and use it on regular PCs with firefox.
I use winXP with MP RC4 and iPimP 5.01.

I am very happy with your application, but if i may ask sorry I would love to have these 3 features :
1°) the ability to choose between different streaming profile (like direct / high bandwith/ low bandwith...)
2°) have the possibility to have a different Tvguide display on bigger screen.
3°) being able to do live transcoding not only for liveTV but also forTVrecordings /videos/TVseries...

I know these would be mainly for computer/nettop users or eventually Ipad users.

hmm I had the same, but when I copied the files (merge) the webinterface is not working anymore. I also noticed that the aspx folder contains an empty web.config??

Yeah, I had the same. My workaround was to actually install iPiMP in C:\Program Files. Then the patch is applied correctly, of course.

Hi All

I've searched the iPiMP forum a few times and from what I gather ForTheRecord still isn't supported Am I correct or have I missed something? For anyone running 4TR is there any advantage in installing this plugin or is it totally reliant on the standard MP TV plugin?

I have worked instalation of ipimp 5.0.0.550 on my WinXP machine. Was instaled over version 4.2.0.484. Instalation was almost OK, only proble with apache service start failed - Reason -8 and also error message about TV service plugin configuration, but everything WORK (TV servre plugin was configured manually).
Live TV and other features worked without problem.
After applying PATCH 5.0.1 iPimp stop working. Only error message (on iPad or iPhone), because is in Czech (like my WinXP) i will try translate it: Runing error ... something about: cant show error details on remote machine.
In Chrome browser on machine where is iPimp instaled its showing this:

So I tryed reinstall back on ipimp 5.0.0.550 but not working anymore, still same error. Downgrading on version 4.2.0.484 working and iPimp working like before, but upgrade on 5.0.0.550 not working (still same error) and also showing during instalation this errors:
RegASM register failed - Reason -8
apache service start failed - Reason -8
sometime error with registering ASP....
I do almost everything like manual uninstall, cleaning registry (everything with iPimp), delete prefetch files in c:\windows\prefetch (HTTPD.EXE-256737EE.pf, ASPNET_REGIIS.EXE-2F24B09B.pf, GACUTIL.EXE-25C147EB.pf, ... iPimp related files on first look)
NOTHING HELPS - I can use only older (4.2.0.484) version.

I will look at the patch issue - it *should* detect where iPiMP is already installed - but looking at the above posts it doesn't.

could it be that the patch only works with MP 1.1.0 RC4 and not MP 1.0.2?

The error I'm experiencing - also mentioned in this post: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/630382-post78.html - indicates that the assembly Gentle.Framework, Version=1.5.0.29111 could not be loaded. I would assume this is to be expected on 1.0.2 as that release uses version 1.5.0.29053 of the specified assembly.
