thanks for your continued efforts. i want to believe it can work, as mikeyo got it working and there are several posts from australians a few years back with success.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW ?!?

Surely someone out there can advise if it still works or TPG changed they delivery method drastically since.

i appreciate those currently involved in helping... excellent bunch of people !

I think the reason that you had to run a SQL script yourself is because of the missing DVB protocol. I have not had the time to look at the logging. Will do later if i have the time.

Thanks Riksmith,

attached are the client logs.

i attempted to watch the video file, then normal tv, then iptv.

from the whirlpool forum -
Some points to look out for:

1. You may need to install a H.264 decoder for MP client to decode the stream. I just installed the demo version of Arcsoft TotalMedia 3.5 to get the codecs on my system (or the trial of Cyberlink PowerDVD is another option).

See my settings below in Media Portal (client) configuration:

2. Like the EPG for FTA channels on my DVB-T tuner, it can take up to a couple of minutes for the EPG for the TPG IPTV channels to appear in MP. For this reason I have MP do EPG grabbing while timeshifting/recording and idle as selectable in MP TV Server configuration | General Settings | EPG.

This is another Australian TPG user that has gone underground and not responding to the post or pm. I tried the Acrsoft application and it made no difference.

    Log says XP SP3.

By the way Ausdigital, I don't mean to be a pain but can you please change to log at debug level and post new logs for both the client and TV Server. There is only barely enough information in the logs for me to follow what is happening, not always truly understand. You can find that setting in MediaPortal configuration on the "front page" of the "General" section...

I am running a single seat server with Win XP SP3

I have several XP clients and 1 Win7 64Bit client. Will now clean up the logs, reboot and run it in debug mode.

    Will post logs shortly.
