I use Vista Ultimate with MS Entertainment keyboard 7000. Use the original eHome driver.

when installing IR Suite, everything will work until i close the application. I did not test after how much time it will stop working.

Next when i restart the Server and translator, the connection to MCE will result in an error. I did not find any information within the system logs. Any clue would be appreciated.

It looks like something else is accessing the driver... It could be the MCE Services... I'll see what I can do for the next release. In the meantime, try disabling the MediaCenter services. If that doesn't work, try disabling the HidIr service (this can be done in the IR Server Setup. Just click the configure button for the Microsoft MCE Transceiver and then click Advanced.

Try re-learning your IR codes, if that doesn't work, try getting Pronto codes for your STB. Let me know how you go with this, I might need to make a change to the IR learning function.

ABORTING IR Server

ABORTING IR Server
I have found out why starting IR Server will prevent it from starting the remote driver (refer to my previous post on previous page). IR Server has to start in admin privilege.

During the install process, IR Server is started - ask the author

Afterwards, it is started using the current user privilege

This closes my problem list as for now. . .

Try re-learning your IR codes, if that doesn't work, try getting Pronto codes for your STB. Let me know how you go with this, I might need to make a change to the IR learning function.

What is pronto codes? i have a dreambox 500. I never had problems before.
Now i've tried to re-learn the codes and it's still the same.

Hey,

Pronto codes are files for distributing IR codes, invented by Philips for use with their Pronto universal remote control range.

Try the attached IR codes and let me know if that works.

If not then I will need to make a change to the learning code.

2 things:

number 9 is missing. And where do i copy the ir files to?

Try the file now, i've added the 9

And it depends on what os you're using as to where to put the files ...

XP:
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IR Server Suite\IR Commands

Vista:
\ProgramData\IR Server Suite\IR Commands

Let me know how that goes.

Tray Launcher is set up to launch MP with the "green button" (MCE Remote). Problem is that sometimes MP does not have focus after launching. I read somewhere that pressing the button again will try to gain focus, but still it does not always work. Any suggestions?

I've been meaning to fix Tray launcher for some time now, but I'm very forgetful and get sidetracked onto other things.

I'll get stuck into it right now and see what I can do.
