Is there a plugin to browse the web insite MP? (1 Viewer)

By coincidence, I just came here looking for the same info, so I second the question. It looks like there is an old webbrowser plugin in the repository, doesn't look like it got much love though, haven't looked at it yet, but doesn't seem too promising. Is there anything like this being worked on?

I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback.
Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)
