Hello,
I have turned my MP install in french and it seems all words are not always correctly translated from english.
Is there a way to customize this ?
Thanks

I would also like to add/modify words.
There was a translation app./website ("fill in the blanks"), but I believe it is no longer used.

    Hi,
You have to open the language file from "Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\language" folder & edit it in notepad or similar program..

Spragleknas, For additional/modified words in Norwegian just send those to me & i'll add those..

    Regards
    Roy

talking about languages, who is working into the spanish translation file? it doesn't have many of new string IDs and also some of them are not accurate... I want to report it, but i don't know where to post....

Yes, but the how depends on which version you are running.

The language files are stored in the language directory

    Pre-0.2.3.0 RC1

Each language has its own directory and a strings.xml file

    Post-0.2.3.0 RC1

Each language has its own file in the main directory strings_xx.xml. The xx = the ISO 2 character language code.

You can open the files in a text editor and change the strings easy as that.

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

Got a reply from SD ... "Looks like your last successful download was on 5/23. On 5/24 for some reason we received 194 connections between 10:54 and 11:05 triggering a denial of service attack ban. The logs show it was lifted on 5/25, but I still see the entry in iptables. I reset fail2ban and hopefully you're working again." Weird...

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...
