Open mytvguide.xml and edit the tags to your needs
    e.g.
template for program title light area

that will be all the channel's programs.

    Thank you, that worked great.

Anyway to show only 8 channels or so in the tvguide so that the boxes and channel icons will be larger as well?

nope, not yet. This has been discussed before, allowing you to select how many rows of channels are shown in the tvguide. you can find the post in the suggestions forum

Of course - just change the size of the other elements as well.

iirc Boilermaker had a tool to adjust the values for the old B2 16:9 skin

Thanks for the replies and help.

I'm trying to change the color of upcoming shows but don't have that much knowledge of all of this and of the color codes.

I would like the text of upcoming shows to be white but a little darker so that there's still a nice distinction between what's on now and what's coming up. How can I find the color code that I want?

Is this the section where I'd make that change:

template for program title darkarea

    Thank you.

the first two hex chars are the opacity the other 6 the usual web colour palette.
e.g. ffffffff is full white, 80ffffff is white with a little opacity, ffd3d3d3 is "lightgray"

Unfortunately I didn't have a tool to make life easy for everybody, i just hand edited the xml file and made 5 versions, each with a different number of rows. Then made an installer for the skin and made the number of lines in the epg one of the choices in the installer.

I'll post the files individually tomorrow, but i don't think they will work in other skins very well. I've also posted in a couple of threads directions on how to change things in the tvguide screen...i can put those together and add it to the wiki; that way other skinners can to add material/correct any mistakes.

    Hi

I've been playing around with the mytvguide.xml file as described above and now have my EPG showing 6 channels with a nice big font. :D

Is there a way to alter the amount of time shown in the "TVGUIDE panel" element?

At the moment it defaults to 120 minutes but with a big font many of the program names are truncated.
I've managed to work around the problem by stretching the element off the right-hand edge of the screen giving an effective view of 90 minutes but it's a bit of a kludge.

I've attached my "mytvguide.xml", which is based on BlueTwo Wide 2.2.0

    Cheers!
    Mark

EDIT: I've just learned that the "time interval spin control" changes the amount of time. I guess I just need to know how to change the default from 120 minutes.

Thanks for your reply. In my configuration this setting is set to "no". To avoid misunderstandings, the MP window size changes on screen resolution changes, MP always fulfills the whole screen. Also, the home screen buttons size is adjusted. Only the font size is not adjusted to the new screen resolution.

Thanks for explaining. I found a passing reference to this here: https://www.team-mediaportal.com/wiki/display/MediaPortal1/HID%20Profiles which I had overlooked in the past.
