Learn IR command does not work any more (1 Viewer)

When in Learn IR command, the receiver does not respond to IR commands anymore ( the red light does not blink)

when plugin says time out the IR receiver does respond to IR commands again

using 10-10-07 version

The new learning method uses the short range receiver so that it can determine the carrier frequency of the IR code.

The old learning method used the long range receiver, it couldn't determine the carrier frequency.

With the new method your remote control needs to be within 3 inches of the device for the code to learn.

Please try again and let me know if it still doesn't work.

mmm when holding the remote closer it works now,

The IR commands are learn, and send, the blaster does blast but the receiving device does not respond to the blast (wrong code ?)

the previous version of IR suite worked perfectly

Hmm, That's odd.

I might need to get you to run a special debug copy that logs all activity from the device.

I'll do a bit more investigating and get back to you soon.

I haven't used the older version but just installed IR Server and it seems to do everything I need. Thanks and-81

I had to make macros for my amplifier IR-blasts. IR was blasted only once to amplifier and it couldn't recognise input (because signal was too quick). So I made a macro where I added same IR-blast -command 5 times and now it works again. Maybe, idioteque, this is your problem also? Just a thought.

Ok it wasn't all that sweet solution after all. I'm using translator and some IR-codes just make IR server not to send any blasts anymore. Shutting down ir server (translator running all the time) and restarting it restores blasting but it's soon gone as I blast codes that make it freeze. I get no crashes when it does this and logs are clean, I'm using debug version but release does the same thing.

I don't attach logs as there's nothing unusual there, just last sent command. But here are the commands that make it stop working. Also translators macros are present. They work fine with translator test-button but when use MCE remote to blast them, it freezes. I don't even have to blast them many times for ir server to stop functioning. Using genuine MCE receiver with standard drivers (hid service disabled from ir-server setup).

Note that from included files only VolUp viive -macro works as it should.

Btw I managed to get ir server stop working with some codes I thought were good as they didn't stop working right away. Found out later they did the same after some blasting. Anyways like I told before blasting always works in translator test-mode so that should narrow the places where to look bug from.
