Attached the logs from Server and Client. I forgot to delete the old ones and my wife used mediaportal today, so i tried to upload only
the "important" logfiles. Please let me know if something is missing. Hopefully the Weekend will let me do some clean log files.

Thanks for the logs, but I don't think there is enough info to do anything with (need the full set of server and client logs to be able to relate channel changes etc. to TsWriter & TsReader activity). When you've got a full reasonably clean set I'll take a look :)

Could some please move this thread out of the archive? Thanks!

Attached are new logs. I am using TSReader for 1.6 and dsshowhelper for 1.6 (first version). I made sure no device go to standby and I also disabled CPU throttling, to make sure nothing else is interupting. It seems to be better with the newer versions of TSReader and dsshowhelper, but still a lot of problems. With those newer versions its not freezing so much as with older versions, so if an issue occur the playback go on, without user interaction, after a the problem is gone.

Still no (100%) playback issues with XBMC and MP TV Server and TSReader-Mode.

After some more hours watching tv i can say it works way better. Had some glitches now and then.
Just deleted all log files because my wife will watch Pro7 for about 2 hours.
Funny to realize i want the issue to appear.

Jack - it looks like you had a network glitch at some point - 'MultiFileReader has error 0x80 in Loop 0. Try to clear SMB Cache.' followed by some continuity errors at the TV server end (possibly reception problems) which also show up in the TsReader log (as expected). The fallout from those issues I think caused the stuttering/pauses later on - pausing TV briefly would probably have fixed the stuttering in this case.

Snoopy87 - I'll have a think about if it's possible to make TsReader more aggressive about keeping it's internal buffers full. It basically does this anyway, but it's driven by the attached decoder filters accepting input samples - if this gets stalled then file reading etc. will stop as well. This is normal source splitter filter practice (and I think I've experimented with it before, and had problems) but it's probably worth another try.

This answer is inacceptable. :D I know live tv is more sensitive when it Comes to Network issues, so normal Video and Music playback work fine for me.
Do you know if there is good a way to find and nail down network issue?
My wife will probably watch 2+ hours of live tv today, so should i post logs?

I'll happily take a look at them if you do....

There are some known issues with Windows SMB (the underlying protocol the 'UNC paths' option uses) which means it isn't ideal for constantly changing files - like timeshift buffer files...

So you would recommend some "use RTSP" tests too?

Some time ago i saw those smb messages in the logs so i tried several improvements tipps like disable smb2.0, disable IPv6, Settings for Network Card and so on. Guess those tests were kind of useless without your latest tsreader.
