I iike to use my TV at a 1280x720 res to surf the web. Do I have to change it to 1080p before I start MP? What actually happens if I leave it at a lower res than full HD?

Thanks

    Hello rica

No, you shouldn't have to do that.

The MediaPortal user interface and video would not be as "crisp" (sharp) as it could be. Other than that, is should work fine.

    Thanks for the reply mm!

Just so I make sure I understand it all: Would it be different from watching something in a non-Full HD TV?

Sadly, it seems that development of MP2 has come to a stop. Perhaps it will restart in the future. Meanwhile... MP1 has a "Tuning Details" panel that displays signal strength, signal quality, and picture resolution. It is updated in real time when viewing a channel: However, perhaps you are already aware of this, but prefer MP2...

When I am trying to get some hardware or software to work and I am experiencing problems, my usual procedure is: simplify, simplify, simplify. That means avoid making choices that may not work; instead make the "standard" choice, which is often simply accepting the default. A static IP address is known to work with MP1. An address...

Hi there, since I changed TV and HTPC's CPU, I'm wondering if this guide: Guide could be considered still good today, since it's been almost 13 years since then and it's still referring to a resolution of 1080p? I say this because I have a new Panasonic 4K HDR TV, and with that settings, even if I have an old Gygabyte GPU (bought...

Right, so are there any skins that are higher resolutions? I've had a look through the list and there are MP Display++ skins but no information on resolution.
