Yes V3 is included in V103
About slow zap time, i can't say why, it seems the same on my side (but faster when using UNC mode).
But i would say that i have do some rework on my own branch about renderer black screen so it act like less blinking thing.
Will try to understand what happen for MadVr processing failed, it can happen when video get hidden and back (maybe when it's a change of tuner ?)

Yes. When there is a change of Turner the zap osd is worst behaviour and more probable to happens the dxva process failed.
Did you see something in my logs?

There is a null reference on render before 18:55 and a lot of renderblack so it can be that.
I will link to my own build just for testing if you want. (you just need to have vcredist c++ 2015 (x86) installed.
Are you able to easily trigger it ?

Try by running exe from your temp (Temp\MediaPortal Installation\deploy) folder
Run the installer, it will extract both .exe (package-mediaportal.exe and package-tvengine.exe) and you can close the installer and run each of both .exe

Yes zap should be better because there is the WIP stuff from @Owlsroost about optimize RTSP and i have change the renderblack between channel but i notice that not rendering black (when doing testing in code) looks faster because we have something displayed on screen lol

About the freeze, no clue, it seems all good in log (no deadlock on C++).
Does ALT+F4 close MP ? (maybe you could try ALT+ENTER too) and then no react on X key to reduce video ?
In task manager, in Details or Processes, it write MediaPortal to 'Not Responding' ?
