Perhaps somebody knows wheater the Hauppauge reciver works with the MCE remote....

They are sold as a bundle, you could probably use it with a USBUIRT though.

its annoying the reciever is only sold in a pair, it would probaly be best to just buy the control and reciever package... two remotes cant hurt!
is the MCE remote and reciever easy to set up with mediaportal? and does it have a decent range?

MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
