I've got problems with the sound disapearing when changing a channel. I will do more test and post logs when the new test version is ready. Unless you want it right away?

Please wait for the next test and then try to reproduce the issue with that as there are already few fixes in GIT that should cure the issue you are seeing.

You cannot compare BASS with MPAR as BASS is not a DirectShow component and it cannot be used with the live tv or movies.

MPAR aim is NOT better high fidelity... is just audio/video sync, among some other useful features...

It does use the WASAPI interface to the audio device, which bypasses the Windows sound mixer processing - so it should be closer to 'bit perfect' output (in theory, but who knows what the audio device drivers might do to the sound.....)

You're right about WASAPI... MPAR only tries to "assure" Windows doesn't mess by the use of WASAPI interface.

Anyway, HiFi it's not its main goal...

I don;t use it for Live TV anymore. Had Audio/Video sync issues (skipping solves it btw). And at every start of TV channel / movies a loud noise (also on movies). Clicking sound. Have to test if it's LAV related or mp audiorenderer.

But for movies it's excellent! Very happy with it.
