I did some work on the xml's for Mytrailers, gametrailers was broken and there were a few layout issues. Also, the trailers now show a movie summary. Hope you like it. The King Kong background is a total rip from StreamedMP :sorry:

    Hi Raytestrak,

I like very much your "more fanart oriented version of moving pictures". But i think the poster is too small with the tagline above. And it will be great to have more detail like director, writer, genre...
I make a quick copy/paste in photoshop to show you what i think will be better. The 2 pictures is the original and my customizations. I don't know how to do so maybe you want to try it...:p

    Thanks for all.

Looks nice. I don't know what information is where by heart, but I chose to leave some info out of the details screen since that was already present in the main screen. Also, in your edit the title is listed twice and so the rating (albeit one graphical and one numerical). I'm going on holiday this weekend, so I won't have time to look at it untill then, but I'll do so when I'm back.

Yes i know for the rating twice. It can be change by something else. Maybe cerification or tagline.
But i think the title here just above the summary is not too much. It's the title after all. (i use the in play information screen to make this edit)

I go holiday this week too on saturday. Happy holidays to you

Did some re-work, made it a bit to seb's request but not quite. I'm not sure whether I'm completely satisfied though ... I like the fact that the larger summary screen now avoids scrolling for some movies, but the values on the side for actors, tagline, genre etc. now show more scrolling. So I don't know which is better ...

Hi Raytestrak, did you have a good holidays?

Thanks for your re-work :D You make a great work
I have one more thing to ask (i know i know....:p)

I use poster 600x800 for my movies and i think your's are slimer (600x900, 500x800 or something like this).
You can see the difference between yours and mine in the 2 pictures i post before.

My request is can you do a resize keeping aspect ratio ? Same the original skin do.

    Thanks :)

Hi Seb, holiday was fine thank you. I'm pretty sure the original skin doesn't do aspect ratio correction, you just give height and width values for the posters. The dimensions of the posters you and I use are the same, it's these values in the skin which determines the on-screen size. Are you saying my dimensions are off on a 16:9 display or are you using a different aspect ratio and it looks wrong on your display? I believe I just used the original values and calculated the ones for my skin based on that (but my math was really sucky in high school, so you could be right :D)

I have just switched to this skin and the screen shots of it look very impressive, however for some reason i am unable to use the generator as expected (though perhaps i am overlooking something very simple)

All of the modules are greyed out and cannot be selected, when i try to add a module an exception is thrown and mediaportal configuration crashes. I have attached some screenshots to outline the issue.

Is there something that i am doing wrong? I am using vista 32 bit with the latest SVN and this "MediaPortal 1.0.1 (SVN): DOWNLOAD ZIPPED SKIN (MANUAL INSTALL) (UPDATED 12/02/09) " of the skin.

Make sure your skin folder is called "Mediastream" and nothing else. Then try the plugin again.

    Emph

I just installed the skin and i get the exception even after naming the plugin folder Mediastream :( also the modules are greyed out. When i start MP i see my desktop and get a complete transparent screen. Is it because i use MP 1.0.2 when i read this thread i find it odd everyone here is using MP 1.0.1 with posts from this year.

There is something seriously wrong with this skin. I had to run Mediaportal configuration in administration mode with vista to be able to configure the modules. So pressed ok fine. Then when i start MP i get a blank screen. I go back to Mediaportal configuration and i get the exception error on mediaportal.xml and the changes i did on the modules are gone. And when i start it in administration mode the changes are back.

btw the skin folder is still called Mediastream

Could you please help me, this skin looks too cool to pass it.

Edit, cant change back to my old skin, it keeps giving me the $%#$%^%#$^ exception error on mediaportal.xml

Edit2, cant run Mediaportal in debugmode, again exception error but this time on the file configuration.bak. Man! whats happening. And now its stalling on clearing the log directory.

Excactly which SVN are you running? The latest available SVN is a 1.1.0 Alpha build...

blackEyEz, I don't think it is MediaStream in particular, MediaPortal 1.0.x has trouble with UAC in Vista (that's my experience anyway). In 1.1 alpha they're making it UAC friendly I believe. Haven't tried it yet because the skins and plugins go to new directories and I believe the skin needs to be compatible (could be wrong on that one).

MediaStream is running fine on 1.0.2 here. Try clearing the cache folder, or deleting your current config (mediaportal.xml). As long as you make a backup beforehand and keep the database and thumbs folders intact (because losing those would seriously suck). nothing should go wrong.
