Hello Chemelli, have you seen the registry trick I suggest on page 22 (to prevent iMon remote to start in mouse mode) ?
Nothing much but it can help ;p

More over, did you see that someone noticed that it was possible to make the Harmony work in MCE mode with the iMon VFD :
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/support-119/antec-fusion-micro-350-lcd-display-52518/

may be is it a serious clue in order to make it work in Minidisplay !

When Minidisplay runs and and subsequently stops the MCE remote working, the MCE remote can be reset by changing the remote back to Imon mini, and then back to MCE remote in imon manager. The MCEremote then responds again. This also works within Mediaportal if you simple alt and tab back into imon manager and do the same thing. Alt and tab back into mediaportal and everything works!!

Obviously this isn't a workable solution but does prove a couple of things:

1) Minidisplay and Imon MCE commands can co-exist and work.
2) Minidisplay must be interupting the MCE commands in Imon when it launches. Once launched, if the imon settings are reset everything works again.

Cheers :)

Did you succeed in making it work, only with iMon manager running, (mediaportal not started) ?

thats the problem. it is always the same. only a blue coloured display without text. i have also reinstalled imon manager, without any success. perhaps there is problem with the driver? but i don´t find the single driver anywhere to test it. if i change the internal usb port the display /vista reinstalls the driver but no success too. so i thik if there a the single drivers, not the one from windows vista, i ca test this too. but i don´t kow what might be the exact reason, because the display works, but no text appears.

Have you checked all the connexions of your VFD to the motherboard and to the Power unit ?
Damned, that's crazy, may be you have a faulty VFD.

I checked the connection of the display in front of the case. I think the only thing i can do is a fresh installation of the system, to exclude that i have a driver hookup. The problem is that i don't have the driver itself from the display.

If this doesn't work i think too, it is faulty. :( Or do you have another idea?

I suppose you have an iMon VFD...

Yes, it is working but it sends only the half of the signal needed in order to iMon manager to process it.

Here a work around :
1) if you use an iMon remote : it should work ! Just check in iMon Manager if in "Windwos", the Power button of your remote is mapped and if the action mapped to it is "POWER_OF" (it should be in the Windows section)

2) if you are using a logitech Harmony, you can map, for instance, the Red button (you can use any other button you never use) in order to POWER OFF the system :
1) in the Harmony Software, I say that the Red button of the Harmony stands for the Red Button of a RM200
2) In the iMon Manager, I add an entry in the Windows section (Call it "My Power Of" for instance), for the Red Button of the RM200, with the POWER OFF Action.

It works straight.

This evening, I send some screenshots to make my explanations a bit more "visual"

You can use either, just not together at the moment.

I raised a request on the LCDSmartie forums for it to recognise MediaPortal and give up control of the display when it's active - but it's not as rapid a development community as here :(
