MediaPortal Configuration > Plugins

Scroll down, it's near the bottom (will be greyed out until you enable it).

You have to start MP configuration in Advanced mode (or switch to Expert mode) to see the plug-in listed.

    Hi,

I use a matrix orbital GX display, wich the driver uses log4net.dll 1.2.10.0
    (mediaportal uses 1.2.9.0 )

I guess this is the fix they speak about in the start of the previous thread :

1a) IF (and ONLY if) you are using a Matrix Orbital GX display, download MatrixGX_Support_Files.zip and extract the contents to your MediaPortal directory.

Problem is I can't find this file for download anywhere.

    Thanks,

    Joris.

    EDIT :
Digged a bit deeper, the last svn is now also log4net.dll 1.2.10.0, but for framework 1.1 and not framework 2.0

So there most be a way to set in the configuration.exe.config to use the 2.0 version and not search for the 1.1 version ?
or to use the 2.0 version only for the "test display" and when loading this particular plugin when starting mediaportal ?

Added a picture with the 2 errors, the top one is when trying to configure the plugin with 1.2.10.0 Framework 2.0 dll in the mediaportal directory, the 2nd with the 1.1 and doing "test display".

Configuration Editor -> Character translations does not seem to save any changes done. I tried to get rid of German umlaut translations, but all the translations were there again when I restarted MP configuration.

I have latest SVN Snapshot 04-02-2009.

Try to save it directly in the xml file,

you can find it in :

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

    minidisplay.xml

MCE compatible display driver not working

I'm trying to get the "MCE compatible display driver" to work but I read it doesn't work when running Vista. Is that true?

I'm currently not using minidisplay. I now use the mPlay software for my MR300 display (VL systems), that way I can also control some settings in ffdshow like subtitle delay and level control. Downside is that MediaPortal isn't showing any information in the display...

Got the display working, if I uninstall TVserver Client, the display works.

It seems tv server client only uses the log4net.dll from framework 1.0

When I copy the log4net from framework 2.0 in the mediaportal directory (after uninstalling tv server client),
    the display works correctly.

Not a very good fix, as i won't be able to use the tv client obviously.

thats the problem. it is always the same. only a blue coloured display without text. i have also reinstalled imon manager, without any success. perhaps there is problem with the driver? but i don´t find the single driver anywhere to test it. if i change the internal usb port the display /vista reinstalls the driver but no success too. so i thik if there a the single drivers, not the one from windows vista, i ca test this too. but i don´t kow what might be the exact reason, because the display works, but no text appears.

I have this problem now that I am forced to use MiniDisplay. I just upgraded MediaPortal to 1.0.1 and found that CyberDisplay crashes MP when starting a TV channel. So I disabled CyberDisplay and enabled MiniDisplay, and set it to the SoundGraph iMon option. Click the Test button, and the display cleared on my Antec Fusion box and it shows some graphical bits around the edge, but no text in the middle. Running MP doesn't display anything.

If I switch back to CyberDisplay, it works generally well, showing what part of MP I'm in such as TV Guide, etc, but starting TV crashes MP.

The only difference I can see in the 2 configurations is the date to the right of the SoundGraph iMon selection at the top, which shows a 2009 date in MiniDisplay, and a 2008 date in CyberDisplay. I have the latest iMon version installed from mid 2008.

What must I do to get this working again?

    Thanks,
    Ross.
