Mini Display Plugin (2 Viewers)

If I switch back to CyberDisplay, it works generally well, showing what part of MP I'm in such as TV Guide, etc, but starting TV crashes MP.

The only difference I can see in the 2 configurations is the date to the right of the SoundGraph iMon selection at the top, which shows a 2009 date in MiniDisplay, and a 2008 date in CyberDisplay. I have the latest iMon version installed from mid 2008.

What must I do to get this working again?

this sound a bit weird as MiniDisplay is CyberDisplay with some minor additional fix.
Did you go trough the complete config again ( under advanced tab) ?

Um, well actually no, as I don't know what I'm doing in the Advanced options. Someone else installed CyberDisplay for me several months ago, and I didn't realize it needed more configuration. I guess I'll need to study the documentation.

open CybrDisplay in configuration and copy down all settings. Then close and disable it. Open MiniDisplay configuration and put the same values as before.
This should make your display work again as before and benefits of all fixes...

I did something less time consuming and renamed the CyberDisplay.xml and the imonlcdg files and now it's working!

But I have one problem. The TV channels are always one behind what I am watching. I switch to another channel and it shows the channel I was watching previously. Everytime I switch channels, it's always the previous one displayed. Is this a bug or configuration issue?

iMON FW not recognized

Hello,

I'm trying to get the minidisplay working with my iMon LCD on a Moneual Moncaso 972 and it seems that the plugin does not recognize the firmware version of my LCD and therefore does not start. I would appreciate any help on how to resolve this.

Don't use autodetect but force it to be LCD or LCD2.

Neither LCD nor LCD2 work
I've tried every possible combination of LCD, LCD2, LCD3R, VFD and V3 DLL and I can't seem to be getting it to work..

well i am using crystalfontz display and i just wanna let everyone know tat it works using lcdhype driver. you would have to download and install lcd hype and copy over the crystalfontz driver dll.

i need to ask the developer on how to use the custom character command in the minidisplay.xml , can the developer give a list on all the commands and property value tat minidisplay will correctly display on the lcd eg. #time,#date and so on.

What I do not understand is why some of you (and I am pretty sure that's because of this you have some problems) are still installing cybrdisplay over the existing minidisplay (wich is cybrdisplay, but already integrated to mediaportal) ???

Because cybrdisplay works and minidisplay doesn't?
