just clarified my last post, restarting imon manager will make the remote work fine, but only if minidisplay isnt running.

Can you elaborate ? I and belcom are interessed to fix all issues with IRSS and iMON hardware.

I tried IRSS again and my biggest issue is that IRSS does not know codes from my remote (iMON MINI). In Abstract app I can assign most of them, but I cant assign long-press buttons. Because iMON MINI has few buttons, some of them have 2 functions through long-press. For example Play is also Stop when long pressed. But Abstract cant (or I did not find right way) assign long pressed buttons, because short press and long press have same codes. Attached file is iMON MINI mapping, but some buttons still missing (Enter, Back, Menu and all long press).

I'm very sorry, but this is the first time I hear from "long press buttons".
IRSS has definitely no support for it.
If you want to get this working, I would need a "table" showing the relations between "short press" and "long press" - together with a barrel of time

The older ExternalDisplayPlugin.dll that was removed from Mediaportal some time ago works well. I always have to copy it manually into the plugins/process-directory after installing a new svn-build. The installer always removes this dll after the svn upgrade.

In the Minidisplay-Plugin I cannot select the "SoundGraph iMon VFD USB Driver V1.0" which I use in ExternalDisplayPlugin.dll.
There is only "SoundGraph iMon VFD/LCD Plugin" available within Minidisplay. But that does not work with my Antec Fusion 430 VFD (tried setting display type to "Auto", "VFD" and using SG_VFD.dll).

Until now I am using "ExternalDisplayPlugin.dll" and IR Server Suite for the remote. The IMON Software does not need to be installed.

Hi!

For Minidisplay plugin, iMON Manager has to be installed, but not running.
What is your devices hardware id and firmware version?
And please provide logs!!

I have installed IMon 7.60.0521 and made a log. The IMon Manager was not running in the background. The VFD was displaying the clock as usual.

Imon Firmware is 0xa0. For Hardware ID look at the attached picture.

EDIT: I made a second log. I forgot to copy the sg_vfd.dll into the main directory. With this file installed the MiniDisplay.dll shows a "iMonLCD" on the VFD after pressing the "Test"-Button within the configuration. However, after starting Mediaportal the VFD remains empty. After exiting Mediaportal the VFD shows the usual clock again.

EDIT 2: Uploaded a Configuration.log. I started Mediaportal configuration, opened the Minidisplay setup and pressed "Test display". A dialog is shown on the VFD. I closed the configuration.

And I thought iMon support would be better once they work with the MediaPortal specialists.
But looks like the opposite is the case.

If you check the Soundgraph forums at To Do List - Soundgraph Forums you can see that for the [Release Target] Dec.22, 2009 entry (Post #1), although it is now rescheduled to Jan 2010, it has:

"(14) [New Feature] The Media Portal media information will be supported"

This hopefully will improve iMon display support in MediaPortal.

I'll hope for the best, and expect the worst

I do have an iMon driven VFD. Let me know if I can test and contribute to the Mediaportal part of the project.
But I don't want to upgrade

You are 100% right, they just started speaking with us but did nothing yet and I fear that nothing will be done.

BTW, I own a VFD from them and I don't run iMON manager because I use IRSS...
