Nope, we won't add any support to remotes on MP itself. We will improve IRSS to handle all iMON firmwares. Take care that anyway IRSS will be the only solution for all remotes on MP2.

OK, I understand now. Can you please explain what will be the benefit of this? I'm using IRSS at the moment together with MiniDisplay plugin, and I'm almoust completely satisfied (most of the problems are key repetitions, especially BACK, but I think it is related to Harmony settings). Right now, I'm stuck how to map the color buttons in MP plugin to eg.: green=Moving Pictures).

You won't see any benefit. the rework will only allow all iMON users with all firmware to have a working Minidisplay/IRSS that is not the case currently.

Now that Imon remote API was released, is it possible to someone elaborate a tutorial, how to configure imon remote with MediaPortal with IRSS?
And with preference, later upgrade this tutorial with the remote logitech harmony. I think that most of people have imon lcd/vfd and imon pad/ MCE remote or logitech harmony.

I never used IRSS, i only have used imon software, and create a *.imo file for MediaPortal and it works.

Also confused about the iMon Display API.

I recalll Chemelli saying that this wouldn't be used until Soundgraph relased a remote API as well.

Does this mean that the Display API will also be incorporated into IRSS ? Or will these be separate plugins? (And if so why did we need to wait for Soundgraph to release the Remote API?)

2. Is there a new minidisplay released, that will work with the latest iMonManager which includes the remote API?

I believer the best thing would be editing the 1st post of this thread when everything is ready with a straightforward install instruction:
1. Install iMon v 8.04.0629 (or later, not tested though)
2. Install minidisplay v xx in folder
3. Acivate minidisplay in MP 1.3.1
4. Configure minidisplay in MP as this

Before I got my old minidisplay working (and realized that it only worked with imon v. 7.77.1022) I had tried getting it up and running till almost crazy until I by an accident saw a post long into a thread that minidisply did not work with new firmwares.
Tried the one in the post (even one later i think) and BAM it worked
Loaded my MPC-HC config (from the new version i previosul had installed that had all those key mappings preconfed) and then the remote worked as well.

Now I only wait for Media portal, iMon, minidisplay to integrate better with MPC-HC as movie player better (it is a lot better than the built in viewer, probably the best on the free market if you know what you are doing and want good pic qual).

I can use the remote in MePo, but as soon as i start a movie in MPCHC I can not use the remote there (it seems as though the focus is still on MePo for iMon in the old releases - hope that it is fixed in the new release with remote API - would be nice to be able to start using MePo for movie watcging again. Everything eles is ready and waiting to be used like MyMovies MyTvSeries a.s.o.)

So me along with probably a lot of peopla are waiting eagerly for the new release of mindisplay...if not allready working.
I just want to know berfore I uninstall everything since currently everything but above is working - even have the text in the HTPC displaying folder and status a.s.o

Simple question: I want to reinstall my MP Machine using W7.
Does the Minidisplay Plugin work with actual Versions of the IMon software, or do I have to use the "good old 7.77"?
I think 7.77 runs on W7?
