    Simon, as I have understood, you are the developer of this plug-in. Whether you want to make so that a variable "_IdleTimeout" could be adjusted by a configurator, instead of had the constant value equal 5 seconds?

    is this option possible now? (I use the vfd display)

    +1 Still waiting for that feature...:rolleyes:

    @disaster123:
    Weren´t that you that said (in another thread), he maybe could implement the long requested feature in your disaster-version of MP and also could deliver a patch to MP developer team to implement this? Just talking to you here in this thread because you seemed to be active in here and the problem should be known to you. I hope you read this and maybe can give a positive answer.

    @MP developers:
    I don´t know how I can get attention from the developer team to this problem, especially from Chemellie who seems to develop this plugin: There are many people waiting to manually adjust the idle timeout of their displays. It is essential to use your HTPC as music-player without turning on TV, because if you have to navigate through longer directories you have no chance to read the full path within 5 seconds. This feature is now requested so long and still is not even on the MP roadmap.

    Is there a "requested features list" in the forum where you can hope the developers look in from time to time and maybe act on a suggestion for a new feature?

    Can someone help (disaster/MP developers)?

    Would be nice to hear from you with a maybe positive answer.

    Thank you in advance and sorry for my bad english.:D:sorry:

    till the feature comes - you can increase scroll speed
    (by chars-to-scroll - > not 1 ----- just try 2 or 4 or maybe 6 - just try) :) ....

    that is possible in the mini-display config ...

    regards

    Hello polarie,

    yes I know that adjustment in minidisplay setup and have tried this for some time. I don´t know if it is only my subjective feeling, but I feel some kind of hounded when the text "runs" on the display. :mad: Usind MP in this way has nothing to do with relaxation.

    However thank you for your proposal.

    I'm sorry but I'm really busy with RL work. Will try to find out some time to do:

    1. Define a good C# interface
    2. Polish the code
    3. Standarize it
    4. Add iMON Display API ( once and only once they release also a iMON Remote API ).

    :sorry: too be so slow and late, but life is life. :D for your understanding...

    > iMON Remote API
    I don't believe they will ever do this. I remember that you told me they will work with MP together in June 2010 or was it 2009 and they never really started todo that. ANd even if they will ever release an API it will miss the most important things or will not work at all. Sorry but Soundgraph is doing some great displays and remotes but they deliver just a piece of crap when it comes to the software part.

    I understand, that some things are more important than others and that the developers do their work in their spare time, so I don´t think a developer has to explain himself when some things need longer...

    I just wanted to address the problem with the idletimeout because it seemed to me that this obvious not so important problem has been forgotten because it is not even on the roadmap. Maybe it could be put as new feature on the roadmap so it can not be forgotten? ;)

    :D for the fast answer and the prospect of a possible solution of the problem!

    <sighs/>

    Soundgraph strike again...
    They've update their release schedule - and the remote API has slipped into a future release.
    It's only another month - but that's assuming it doesn't slip again.

    Very disappointing.
