If I select no passkey then I cannot connect my phone to my pc. There seems to be some security feature that doesn't allow connecting without a passkey . So passkey has to be set.

Is it so that the plugin will not work if I have a passkey set? When MP starts I do have a connection between the two devices but only when a passkey is enabled.

i can´t get it work without passkey too. maybe that´s the standby-problem.

I'm not too sure about a pass key i always use one and it works ok but if there is a issue if you dont use one it's between windows and the phone not the plugin. the plugin just uses an existing port. The search interval setting is the amount of time in seconds the plugin waits (if no device is connected) to see if a device it can connect to is in range. the default is 120s

I bought a bew Nokia and with that the connection works like a charm with a passkey activated.
The old samsung was already overdue for an update.

Now all works perfectly thanks for this great plugin. Can't wait for the new sms support.

I finally figured out and fixed the Standby bug. it's just getting reviewed and will be up shortly. Thanks to every one for testing and feedback. it was a windows problem. after standby you will have to wait for the search interval to elapse before it reconnects. next step sms.

Hi,

Which xml file should be adjusted in the skin folder so that the location and size of the incoming call box OSD can be changed.

There are a few options so I am just going to ask instead of goofing around for an hour or two.

Using the Indigo skin so the popup windows is too big. Approximately 3/4 of the screen by default.

Also if this OSD is used by another feature in Mediaportal would it be posible to make this work separately without affecting the other locations such as miniepg or which ever is using the same xml and png.

I am maybe not too clear but anyhow..

to be honest i'm not exactly sure what the answer is. this is only my first plugin and i've never done anything with skins. try asking the question in a skin thread.

Is it possible to start playback after you have finished your phone call?

i dont think so i'm still looking for different commands but i dont think the phone sends a command after the call has ended. but i'll look into it. with smsing i'm also not exactly sure if the phone can send a command when an sms is recived so a popup may not work but it is definatly possible to send sms' from inside media portal and i think i'm gonna try sort that out first.

This plugin sounds really cool and prompted me to look for overall desktop solutions. Does anyone know of software that will do this in the Windows XP desktop environment outside of MediaPortal?
