I am switching my media centre to a new pc,

I am trying to figure out all that i can/should copy to the new pc so that the one one acts like the old one.

What parts of MP can be puulled over? copy/paste. to get this effect?

I would take a look at this document in the Wiki:

UserGuides/CentralisedDatabases - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

It describes how to setup a centralized database so multiple clients will have the same configuration. The files you would want to copy to a server for multiple clients are the same files you will want to copy to your new machine. ;)

One note on the article - I wasn't able to find the database and thumbnail directories under the MP directory as they described. I even looked under the "Local Settings" directory for my profile and it wasn't there. It ends up that MP is writing these files under the "All Users" profile, under "Local Settings" or "Application Data" (can't remember offhand). This is with WinXP SP3 - might be different for Vista. Just thought I would point it out because it caused me a lot of frustration one night when trying to set this up.

A quad-tuner card would give you four tuners, but if you wanted more tuners you would need to use the TBS eight-tuner card, or use external tuners, either USB tuners (available with single or dual...

It's getting weirder..... If I remove all the IP cards in the TVServer setup and then add them back I can scan the M3u and tune the stations but if I rescan it on the same card it just keeps updating the 1 channel. My brain is melting.........

Hello, I would like to use a media server to display various learning categories. I prefer not to use software like Kodi, as it requires extensive metadata scraping that I don't need. Is it possible to instantly access the video categories when landing on the page? I would like to display a single media page with the following...
