The new subtitle downloading seems to work well, but it no longer shows the filename of the episode on the menu (just "House 1x12" for example) and it makes it impossible to choose the right subs for the specific video without going to the folder to check out the filename, which kinda defeats the purpose. Is this controlled by the skin or the plugin and what do I need to change to make it display the filename again. I'm using X-Factor skin.

I think the previous implementation didn't do this either but maybe this is an improvement we can consider about. We have to think about issues like long (which in scene releases usually are) or multiple filenames so it's not that straightforward.

I updated the Swedish language file.

Suggestion: Would it be much more work to include all the new fields in ALL language .xml's when you add to the English one so when translating, we won't have to go to the English one and copy/paste? Also, am I correctly assuming that all additions are at the bottom of the .xml file, so that I won't miss something further up?

Its a good idea, something I would like to do but haven't got around to yet.

Maybe a community member would like to create a script which can just sit in the same directory which looks for all fields in the English file and adds or removes items in the other language files.

Yep, sometimes I have edited existing ones in place but recently if it was edited I also move to bottom.

Note: I have re-attached the Swedish translations with some bug fixes.

I'm seeing some odd behavior with the Watch Import Folder functionality.

I have a single location being watched which has many subfolders which is on a file server. I am mapping the UNC to drive W:\ and this is the location definition I am using within MP-TVServer. The problem I am seeing is every new file added is being duplicated in the database with one entry using the mapped drive location and the other using the UNC. So for example I have a file called file1.avi. I have two entries in the database, one pointing to:

w:\Folder1\file1.avi

then I have a second entry added about a minute later pointing to

\\FileServer\folder1\file1.avi

I am not providing MP-TVSeries the UNC in any way in the configuration.

This seems to be limited to files being added by the folder watch activity. If I manually force a full scan I am not seeing a duplicate issue.


EDIT - I was able to work around the issue by using the UNC in the import path. Of course this required me to rebuild my database which took all day.

im getting this error trying to download subtitle.

It finds the subtitles just fine but when trying to download i get this error:

Downloading subtitle file failed: Access to the path is denied

Can anyone help me?

Is the video file/episode located on a network share that you are trying to get the subtitle for?

EDIT: if it is, share probably doesn't have write access which is required to write the subtitle file

It was a permission thing Thanks Now it works perfectly. Now i we just need it to be integrated into Moving pictures

My main language in tv series is german. Therfore the german titles are retrieved for my tv shows. For example "House" is called "Dr. House". I think this is the reason, why I can't download subtitles (english) for tv shows, which have a different name in other countries. Because other show, that have the same title are no problem. Do I have to change cofiguration, to fix this, or is it something else entirley?

When i watch an episode till the end and then close my external player to return to mp, all texts and pictures exept the backdrop are gone. There is no list of episodes, or descriptions of them. I have to restart mp to get everything working again.
The strange thing is, that if i start a video, and lets say after 5 minutes stop it again, everything is fine. The problem just appiers when i watch for a longer time.

Hope somebody can help.

Yes, this is because of your language setting. TVSeries should use the original name of the series but it doesn't seem to work.
