The new subtitle downloading seems to work well, but it no longer shows the filename of the episode on the menu (just "House 1x12" for example) and it makes it impossible to choose the right subs for the specific video without going to the folder to check out the filename, which kinda defeats the purpose. Is this controlled by the skin or the plugin and what do I need to change to make it display the filename again. I'm using X-Factor skin.

I think the previous implementation didn't do this either but maybe this is an improvement we can consider about. We have to think about issues like long (which in scene releases usually are) or multiple filenames so it's not that straightforward.

I agree that adding the full filename is an improvement I would like to see. If it does not fit, scrolling the name would be sufficient.
Not too uncommon there are several releases for an epiosde and usually the sub is not working very well if not synced to the exact release.

Otherwise it would be a lot of trial and error and that would not be popular with my g/f when watching Lost.

When i watch an episode till the end and then close my external player to return to mp, all texts and pictures exept the backdrop are gone. There is no list of episodes, or descriptions of them. I have to restart mp to get everything working again.
The strange thing is, that if i start a video, and lets say after 5 minutes stop it again, everything is fine. The problem just appiers when i watch for a longer time.

Hope somebody can help.

system: windows 7 x64, mp 1.1.0 beta, MP-TVSeries v2.5.0, MPC-HC, streamedmp skin v0.9.601

When 1.1.0 RC1 came out, I did a fresh install of MP, nvidia drivers and all plugins like MovingPictures and MP-TVSeries and am experiencing the same problems as cyberlolo.

In my case I even use the internal player and always just get the backdrop and date/time but no MP-TVSeries info at all, after stopping an episode. Does not matter which skin I use, even Blue Wide.

Pressing back to get to the series overview shows MP-TVSeries content again.

I've been an avid user for years and treat it as a nag for the time being, but upgrading all components shouldn't result in a step back. What can we do to help?

This issue is caused by ticking "Use default refresh rate" under General -> Dynamic Refresh Rate in MP Configuration!

Perhaps someone else is able to reproduce it.

For me there's no real need for this option because MediaPortal defaults back to Desktop refresh rate after playing a file (which is the refresh rate I wouldve actually chosen as the default refresh rate).

is it possibile to download the subtitles directly, if only one subtitle-website is selected?
it would be also awesome, if you can choose a default language for the subtitle. for example, i've activated to download an english and a german subtitle. the english subtitle should be used by default, but if i want, i can switch to the other while watching the episode.

another good feature could be autoplaying the episode after downloading the subtitle, or add a play button near the done button.

I am running media portal 1.0.2 and installed mp-tvseries v.2.5.1.....on initial install the config runs and all is fine.....on followup attempts to get into the tv series config the following error is generated:

"Failed to locate assembly 'Dialogs, Version=1.0.4.25844, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
Note that the configuration program must be executed from/reside in the MediaPortal folder, the execution will now end."
