It just won't work there, there are workarounds, but this is a crutch. Which can stop working at any time. But the worst thing is that in Ukraine, KinoPoisk is blocked. Therefore, this option is not working either (I'm tired of choosing a proxy for KinoPoisk, and the one that my friend had is not working now) Therefore, here only TVDB and TMDB :(

Their detection of scrapers is probably linked to the amount of requests generated by a mass-import on new or refresh of existing collection. Did not notice anything on the 10+ manual scans. So, if they indeed block your IP if they detect massive activity, then that would complicate things. Of course that would be in your control and just don't add large numbers of new movies, or mass-refresh existing collection.

Could always route each requests through a different Tor-exit node

There is no more complex locking mechanism, it is based on the number of requests, on cookies, on session support, analysis of jumps on the page, analysis of content loading when loading the page, etc., i.e. from the same machine you will be able to enter the site with your browser and the script will receive a captcha.

And anyway, there is no search by IMDBID, so it is possible to compare the title of a movie or a series only by name.

Moving-Pictures already uses TMDb, so seeing as they've expanded to also include TV-Series, that would be an easy alternative if the C# code transfers over.

Might still be useful as a backup, for when TVDB goes down (again) if it remains a viable source, and extra cover/fanart sources are always useful.
