I think theres a link in (MP configuration - click plugin - right click burner plugin - click configuration) on that page where you set the drive letter for your DVD is a link for the files you need.

Hi,

I would use it, if I could set my Drive in the config. There is also the info at startup of the config, that I´m missing some files.

launch the mediaportal configuration
go to plugins section
right click on 'my burner'
edit the parameters.

There, you 'll be able to specify the burner's driver letter.
in the bottom, you have a link to some required packages and files, needed for the plugin.

As long as you don't have them installed, you'll be promped by an error message when closing the parameter window.

good luck

Hi,

yes but the problem is that the COMBO Box is empty and not accessible. And when I write the letter directly into the box nothing happens. The Plugin cant´t detect one of my burners. I also get an Error Message when I open the MyBurner Config. It tells me that some Files are missing.

Best Regards Christian

Hi everybody.
I finaly found out why i was having problems with my DVD-Burner.
The reason is what wadu here says.
Is there a any solution to this problem? I Have a manually workaround (rename the file) but i was hoping for an automatic solution.

Please accept my pologies if the answer to this is already in one of the 36 (!) pages in this thread.
Maybe it would be a good idea to go back to having a separate section for each of the more popular plugins to avoid this kind of congestion.
Evidently I am too stupid to use this thing. I would like to burn a CD containing several directories full of MP3 files and cannot figure out how to select what should be on the CD. My Burner lets me navigate around the file structure, but I get no popup menu from the "Info" key. How can I select files or directories for inclusion?

P.S. After reading more of this thread, I am more confused than ever. I'm not even sure I have the right files installed. All of the files in my <MP Installation>\Burner folder are more than a year old, even though I have installed today's SVN (2 Feb. 2008). The Configuration dialog looks nothing like the screenshots posted in p. 3 of this thread, but those are also well over a year old. I have the IMAPI service set to start automatically, but it still doesn't start on boot. I am able to start it manually, however.
Edit: According to this web page, IMAPI only runs when needed, even if set to "Automatic"
I can't find any description of the plug-in or how to use it on the MP Wiki.

    Please, give me a hint!

    P.P.S.
Before, I was trying to add directories. Now I finally realized that only individual files can be added.
I tried to fill a CD with songs, but MP crashed with an access violation as soon as burning started (logs attached).
I don't understand how this can be, since MP runs under an account with "Administrator" privileges.
I was able to create a CD using the built-in Drag 'n' Drop XP functionality, which also uses the IMAPI service.
    Any ideas?

    P.P.P.S
I finally succeeded in burning an audio CD (previous attempt was a data CD containing MP3 files). This seems to have worked OK, but when burning was finished, the CD started playing immediately. When I took out the CD MP was hung and had to be killed (see rsbrux MP hung after Burn Log.zip)

    P.P.P.P.S.
Burner has now successfully produced two additional audio CDs, so at least that part seems to work well!
The previously reported hang seems to be due to ejecting the CD without first having stopped playback.

    Hi,

I found a bug in the my burner. I didnt know where to post it and if it is already known. The problem is if Windows isnt installed on drive C: My burner will complain that it didnt found the fonts folder on drive c: I think this path is hard coded.

Very neat piece of software :D

I cant access my network environment with my burner? Only local drives. All my movies and data reside on another pc. Is there a fix for this?

    dvd data burn resolved

    hello,

my burner doesn't burn dvd data (just cd data), i read all the post and i see some people have the same problem but i don't find solution.
So to see how burndvd.exe work, i launch manually using ms dos windows to see parameters, but i didn't see something.
So i double click on dvdburn.exe on the folder windows ressource kit\tool and nothing.
Finally i restart to burn a dvd with mediaportal and miracle it's burn my dvd!!!
I restart my computer and burn again!!!

So , i don't know why but i think we must launch once dvdburn.exe manually if we want use dvd burn in mediaportal:D

sorry for my approximative english (i am french) but i think this method would help some people...

Well, im using the last MP 0.2.3 and tried to burn a data dvd. it all went ok until it said completed, but it does not read on any of my dvd roms. i tried it on 3 different ones, one of them being the one used to burn the dvd.. any hints?

    Edit post:
Actually I found out that my settings in the config screen showed my DVD writer correct but the drive letter was not the right one, so i changed it to "E:\" which is my writter and tried it. Again the same thing, it starts copying the files into the folder under DVD and shows on the screen 'copying xxxxxxxx' and then 'completed data dvd burning' ... but the dvd comes out blank ?? any thoughts?
