DVD Profiler Catalog not quite right

Please help me if I am missing something. I have been using DVD Profiler for a long time with MyFilms and love the interface.

The new MyFilms 5 looks great but some of the important fields do not line up.

The sort title is stored in a field called "SortTitle" in DVD Profiler and this is not a choice in the dropdown so this does not work.

The big one is the "Item for Storage File Info". In DVD Profiler this is stored in a field called "Notes" this is also not a choice in the dropdown so this does not work either. So my movies do not launch at all.

The dropdowns are editable and appear to let you add your own field names but this does not work. I do not always make my folder names the exact same as the movie title so using the search feature is not really all the helpful.

Since MyFilms says it works with DVD Profiler I would have hoped that the XML was mapped correctly.

I think the easiest fix would be to allow the user to enter their own field names in the dropdown fields.

I think the Wiki page for using DVD Profiler with My Films 5 should answer most, if not all your questions. I think part of your confusion is that the DVD Profiles field names differ from My Films which uses basically AMC field names. The wiki page should give you a clear idea of the mapping (for example that SortTitle" is mapped to Formatted title).

Yes you can still use the Notes field - just select it for your config on the External Catalogs tab in Setup. IIRC correctly that automatically maps the Notes field to source so you don't even have to change the option for "Item for Storage File Info"

Unfortunately we did not get a lot of experienced DVD Profiler users to test the alpha/beta releases of My Films 5, but everything is supposed to work as you expected!

As you can see in xml1 the option is available when clicking the NEW button or using the wizard.
In xml2 you can see that the option don't exist anymore, which i think is what causes the exception to happen on my systems.

Gotcha ... you are right - and I couldn't reproduce the error here as I was running in a "test mode".
After changing to normal mode, I can reproduce the behaviour you got.
This is caused by a function not being unlocked for "normal mode".
Fix will be included in next version (V5.1.1) - If you'd like to have a fix before, I can send you a link via PM.

Thank you for that information and now it is sorting correctly. However the movies will still not play. I have not changed anything about the way I put the information into DVD Profiler. My DVDs are in this format: H:\FOLDER NAME\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo and my BluRays are in this format: H:\NAME OF FILE.iso.

This has always worked fine up until now. I downloaded a copy of AMC to test and these formats work fine in it. Do I also understand correctly that I can no longer put multiples in Notes separated by a semicolon from multi disc movies?

Just started trying out MyFilms to use alongside MovingPictures as a way of playing a small collection of Music Concert DVD's and rips. MovingPictures is handling my 600 +movie collection and I cant see an easy way of importing them into MyFilms (but thats another story!)

I've installed it MyFilms OK and can see everything on screen but ISO files dont play at all. MP just hangs. MovingPictures plays both iso and blu-ray iso's fine and calls up Arcsoft TMT to handle the buuray discs, but MyFilms cant seem to do that. Neither ordinary iso nor blu-ray iso will launch. Daemon tools and MP are both set up correctly.
I dont use MYVIDEOS so dont know if that works or not.

Any help please?

Hi, I found several people had problems with iso's recently. Might be caused by latest DT version? -> https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...o-files-timeout-100701/index2.html#post798332
I personally use VirtualCloneDrive and don't have problems mounting ISOs (bot DVD and BR).
Would be great, if other DeamonTools users could help!
If this doesn't help, please provide debug logs and I'll have a look into it.
