Re: [Blog] My Films 5 - the future is here!

I can't find those files on my PC. Where are they in Windows 7?

I made sure that the files registered the error. Here they are.
    Hi RockJock,
sorry, I should have said that you need to change the logging in MediaPortal to "Debug" first - as MyFilms uses the same settings.
In default mode there is almost nothing except errors written to the log files and thus not giving enough information.

I ran in debug mode and it didn't seem to generate any more info.

    Hi Rockjock,

Thanks for posting the log files.
However, I have a hard time to understand, what exactly happens - that is: What do the log files reflect. Yes - I am missing a lot of information I would expect to be there.
So to get one step closer to a solution:
1.) Can you remove the HTPCinfo plugin from pluginfolder (or move the dll somewhere else - maybe disabling is enough) - so we first get rid of the exceptions caused by it - as this might have sideeffects and consequences to other plugins and behaviour too.
2.) Can you please again describe, how and where/from where you tried to start a movie in the log files you've posted and what you've seen/experienced to happen in the GUI

    Thanks,

    Guzzi

    Guzzi,

I solved the problem. The dropdown under Play Movie Info needed to be set to Source. This was not obvious in the documentation all I though I had to do was check the box under External Catalogs.

Thank you for looking in to this. I appreciate your help and I am so glad that I can keep using this plugin.

I would suggest puting in a help pop over about changing the dropdown on the External Catalogs tab. Or have the it automatically change when the check box is checked.

    Hi Rockjock,
glad you solved it! Re setting source - it would be absolutely no problem to include this setting into the (catalog type dependant) setup wizard presets - but I am not sure, if there aren't cases where users might use other fields for that !?
If it can be confirmed it should be like that, I will add it to the DVDprofiler default settings - so please let me know.
    Thanks, Guzzi
