Do you get the content of movie.txt displayed in the lower window?

No I haven't been able to get it. My task is, step by step:

New grabber. In the search window I type #FILESERVE# in the URL. Next in the Test Page I type "... button" to navigate to the movie.txt. Next press Search. In the preview I get "0 movie.txt (Autoredirect)". Nothing happens. All the rest of the sections and the detail page are empty. I have attached a movie.txt

try setting URL field to the name of your file or a mask. #Filename# is only required, if you have nfo/text files that have same name as movie - and you have multiple in a directory.
For your example you could just use "*.txt"
Then in "testpage" brose to the directory where your txt file is located.
Prevew should list all files matching your URL definition.
Choose one and press "Use with Detail page" - this should load the content and allow you to edit the detail definitions for the grabbing.

Why? I cant see the utility of that

Many movies webs like Filmaffinity (spanish site) or IMDB have the option to acccess them with a registration name.
The advantages in logging as a registered user are being able to access to customized fields of information, such as

Customized rate of a film,
Personal review of a film,
Affinity network (almas gemelas): The punctuation for the film is based in the ratings given by the people who rated other films with similar levels.
Film that I would like to watch.
Film that I Watched in cinema etc.

Usually others plugins haven't enough fields for this information. But my Films has custom fields that could be used.


I made two feature requests on the Google site. One for this and the other one for the Support to open My Films with a parameter

I have a problem
after I finished watching a movie, "watch status" don't change so is not recorded even on trakt
What can I do?

best bet would be to post config and logs and some addittional info about your setup (catalogtype, settings for watched handling, etc.)

Hi igormaiden, can you also attach your TraktPlugin.log. Ensure logging is set as Debug in MediaPortal configuration before reproducing if not already.

The trakt plugin will only set as watched (scrobble) on trakt if you have watched atleast 90% of the film.

Thanks Guzzi. Now it works. I have the details section with the txt file.

Another question. I have home videos that I would like to manage with My Films. Those videos obviously don't have matching in IMDB. I have tried to check the "prohibit Internet Lookup" and choose "Only Media data" in the database Field but I can't import any movie. What am I doing wrong?

That should be no problem - and I would recommend to put them in a separate config.
What you're doing seems the right direction - and since you don't make internet lookups, you have to make sure to get the "title" from either filename or foldername. Depending on your structure, you might use filename and grouping by foldername, if you have grouped your homevideos like that.
You also have to make sure to enable "Import File if Internet lookup fails" and disable "Don't import File in interactive mode" on Interactive Tab - by default those settings are optimized for "normal movies".
If this still doesn't work for you, I need AMCupdater log file and your config files.

Though following your advice, I am not able to import my home movies. I have attached my log and config files.

By the way, I am making a grabber for the Spanish website Filmaffinity, but the image extraction is tricky for me.

Hi, in the attached log, there is nothing about any played events - so either there is a general problem, that trakt cannot listen to your player - or you didn't play anything in the session from where the log was taken?

I have the same in MF log - there is nothing about a played movie in there !? can you retry?
