I've got another problem. When I press escape in fullscreen video the video overlay is correctly rendered at the bottom of the screen but the rest of the screen is all black. I need to restart MediaPortal to get the menu back. :-(
I have reproduced the problem here with WindowsXP and the ExternalOSDLibrary. The problem shouldn't occure on Vista or with the internal OSD.
But you don't have to restart MP, just go to fullscreen again by pressing "X" and than stop the playback with "B".
I hav reintalled MP twice in thinking something got messed up, But unfortunatelily I get the same thing. That last time I did not enable any antivirus, firewall etc. Thinking maybe a security issue. Anyhelp would be appreciated
Here is the relevat log

Your error looks like an incompatibility of the skin with the plugin or even MP, because it finds GUI element with the wrong type. MP looks for a GUIImage and only finds an GUILabelControl.
Perhaps you have to apply a recent SVN to get this working. You should use the latest version of the plugin.
thanks for the input, I have re confirmed. This may be a problem with the recent SVN's, As the SVN from Before 3-1-08 Seem too work fine, But ounce you add a later SVN then they error occurs
and thank you for the great plugin. i´m trying to use it with vista but i get volume problems here. i can´t change the volume using MP controls (= and -) because of the individual application volume controls of vista i think. how to solve that?
Hi wunschkind,
I'm aware of this problem and I think that I have a solution. Unfortunately I don't have time atm to fix this problem and some other issues of My MPlayer. I will first finish my tasks on TVE3 and than fix the issues of My MPlayer. :sorry:
I tried your plugin and then I realised that I don't need it for my kind of video files.
I cannot uninstall the plugin, I can disable it, but even when disabled it is listed along with My Videos, My Pictures etc. in the start screen. How can I remove it from the start screen.
You have to disable the window plugin of My MPlayer. Than it won't be displayed in the home menu.
If you want to delete it, you should use the uninstall function of MPI. If this isn't possibe you have to delete the plugin dlls (MPlayer_ExtPlayer.dll and MPlayer_GUIPlugin.dll). You should also delete the skin file (MyMplayer.xml) and the configuration files (MPlayer_ExtPlayer.xml andMPlayer_GUIPlugin.xml)
