...put the playlist in one of the shares of the plugin or MP. Than you just have to activate the option "Treat playlists as folders" in GUI plugin configuration. Than you can select each channel from within the playlist.

By the way: for external subtitles you don't need the crappy MPlayer (don't look at its source, you'll vomit) - no offense to the author of this plugin.
You can just add DirectVobSub AutoVersion to your DirectShow filter list.
Please ensure that also the external player plugin is enabled. If it still doesn't work than try again and please post the mediaportal.log.Hi misterD,
I've done exactly as you said. I added the playlist as share and checked the "Treat playlists as folders". I can see the channel list but when I select one of the channels I get the message window "The file you are attempting to play has an extension (.mplayer)...". I added screenshot. If afterwards the "Yes" button ispressed then all I see is black screen without audio/video. Do you have any idea how to overcome the problem. Running "mplayer.exe udp://@x.x.x.x:5000" from command line works fine though.
Thanks.
I'm not an expert for creating playlists, but here you can find a description of one of the supported playlists file format: PLS (file format - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)Hi Mr D,
Sorry for asking, but how can I make a playlist and save it?
And what you're saying is, save all the webadresses of the internetstreams in a playlist, select "Treat playlists as folders" in the configuration (where can I do that?) and when I now go to this playlist in MP (where?) I can play the streams?
And if I install this plugin, is Mplayer always used for all files? So also for dvb streams, dvd's and mkv's and avi's in My Videos?
Thanks in advance for your support.
If the url changes than you have to update the playlist everytime so you should find an url that is valid always.Hi misterd,
Firstly thank you very much for your marvelous work. We really appreciate your efforts.
I hope you can help me to get my system configured correctly to play web stream from my ISP.
I am trying to play the channel using your plugin and at the moment I bassicaly stuck as no information can be found.
What happens is I can play the stream from the website using IE which starts up Media Player plugin. The stream plays fine no problems. When I right click on the actual Media Player window I can see in the properties link to the playing file with extension wmv.
The trouble is the link always changes, depending what program is shown. I think it is due to the program broadcaster, not my ISP. BTW it is NASA TV I am trying to watch.
Another my problem is I don't know how to create and add the playlist to one of the shares. I saw somewhere in a forum people talk about some pdf file, I couldn't find it for some reason.
Can you please give me some guidance here, I am an absolute noob when it comes to playlist creation and handling. I have no idea what playlist is and what format it has, windows always did it for me .
