Just to let some users know,

I recently bought online a microphone from http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4466.
I bought this micophone to replace the webcam(with build in mic).

It was suppose to work from everywhere in my living room and it did. It works great.
Also, for europian users, the dollar euro currency makes this microphone very cheap.
Also no shipping costs so its a good deal.

Ps, i did use a little extension cable.

If you installed it via MPI, you can uninstall it from there.

If not, or you have problems, these are the files that were installed (from your MediaPortal root folder):

trisixnine: Did you install the MS Speech engine, or do you have it installed? If you go to your control panel, click on speech, you should have a speech recognition tab and a text to speech tab. If you don't have the speech recognition tab, that means you haven't installed it.

I make a new user profile and set up the voice with MS speech engine, but when I try some action (like "volume up two" or "zoom in" or "zoom in 2" or whatever...) I didn't see any results.

How I can sure that the MS recognize audio is active? and how to understand if the words should be right received?

trisixnine: Usually what I do is add a wave file or tts response to the main activation and main de-activation phrase in the plugin config. That will at least tell you if it's active or not. There's also a TTS debug flag in the config which will give you feedback on what it think it heard.

Make sure you train the MS Speech Engine first. This is done in through the Control Panel -> Speech -> Train Profile. The more you train, the more you will be recognized.
