I'm curently working on a new GUI/Skin, tell me what you guys think about it so I know if I continu or not.

Everything is animated in High quality GiF Files.

I wish it would be possible to have a home screen like that. The current one won't allow for icons displayed that way.

Hey Frodo, what would be involved in writting an alternate home plugin? Does the home plugin do nothing but bring other plugins to the front, or does it have other responsibilities too?

It looks good, I would however not have as many contrasting colours.
Stick to various shades of blue or silver. These colours always looks best on TV screens 8)
Looks like Myth TV :wink:

You'll also have to take into account overscan so you overlay window and button will be too close to the edge.

But yes keep working the more skins the better.

to dman_lfc : I will make up dif styles of my skin if people like my job. But first I'll wait for Team Portal feedback

to hybride : I'll make them as big as possible, it'll depend of the space left and will be managed to be "easy to understand".

to frodo and Team Portal : I am General manager in a Computer company, I handle the GUI of our own brand IP Camera. I've followed a GUI-dev formation and made up my own idea on how Media Portal Should look like. If you are interested in my work and if you are ready to make Media Portal compatible with my GUI I whould be glad to work with you guys.

Nice work!

I think it looks nice, but it doesn't look as dynamic as the current list-based interface. Remember that people enable/disable plugins at any time, and it's conceivable that there could be 20 different plugins loaded. Does this skin have a way of handling laying those out? Would they just scroll like the current one?
