New Tool: episodescanner - adds series and episodenumbers to your MP or 4TR EPG (2 Viewers)

Out of interest, how does this actually work? i.e. how does it figure out the Episode/Season? Say I record The Simpsons on BBC 1 (UK).. how does it work? DOes it expect some info already in the EPG? does it just work off dates? what about repeats etc?

It expects Seriesname and Episodename in the EPG and with that information it searches for the relevant Data. It does this for all recordings with missing data in the EPG.

it's from the running window (loop). never seen more information in log

as I said, log.txt contains even less information (no error message, no line number). do you redirect stderr to log???

wonderful but the bug is still there as you can see. So could you please redownload - remove Episodenumber and Seriesnumber from this series and run debug mode again. It will now dump the whole hash into the debug file. So i can see why there isn't an ARRAY ref. That would be really nice!
