with the Centon/Comcast flow we got going here, Is anybody able to get the Music channels?
For the record, the TV Server scan can't tell the difference between TV (video + audio) and radio (audio only) channels. It assumes all channels are TV. If these music channels that you refer to are really audio-only then I'd be very keen to see log files showing a scan.

On a side note, is there any way to have WMC recording automatically added or even manually to MediaPortal?
    You can import them:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...er_Configuration/07_Recording#Database_import

However, you'll need an matroska format XML file (like the ones TV Server creates) with each one in order for the import section to recognise them as recordings.

It is the Music channels that cable offers, it plays music while showing artist info and pictures.
Comcast channels are 901-963, each channel is different mix or genres

They do show up in the channel list, but when you try tuning them in the screen stays black and no sound.
    I posted my logs.

Thanks[DOUBLEPOST=1413332585][/DOUBLEPOST]oh, while you are looking into these logs see if you can see why I have random crashes.
I found a Comcast/Ceton tuner setup in the forum and made some changes that were recommended, so I am going to see how it works (Doing good so far)

    Thanks

Okay. Thanks for the log files.

I can see 1 tune request for one of these channels - "901 Hit List" - at about 4:22 pm.
It looks like TV Server tuned successfully:

Note the channel appears to have an MPEG 2 video stream as well as an audio stream.

I can't tell whether MediaPortal had problems playing the stream because you tuned that channel from "Camle-PC" and the MediaPortal logs only include information for "TvServer". If you want me to investigate this further then please use the watchdog/debug-tool with option 1 on any of your PCs to open MP, attempt to view a couple of the channels, close MP, and then post/attach the resulting zip file.

From the application event log, the latest crash seems to be at 4:09 pm:

Cause of the crash is MPIPTV_RTSP.dll (ie. the IPTV source filter, also used for CableCARD tuners).
This is something I've seen before. As far as I know there is no known solution.
I can only suggest the same things as I said here:

Hmmm, it looks like TsReader might be having problems with the stream format.

Since TV Server doesn't seem to have a problem tuning, could you please upload a short recording (max 60 seconds) of any one of these channels to our FTP server. That'll probably be the easiest way for us to get to grips with this.
The FTP server connection details are here:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_.../Debugging/TS_Dumps#Public_upload_FTP_account

If you've never dealt with FTP before I'd recommend the Filezilla FTP client.

As you say, we need a recording to play with.....looking at the top of the TsReader log, it seems that the video content might be in short bursts (TsReader keeps detecting large video PTS jumps), which is assumed to be signal corruption and causes it to flush and re-sync to the stream.

I have uploaded the recording, filename is (manual -2014-10-15). It's about 58 sec. long
Just wondering do you think it could be a cable box only thing?

    Thanks

No, the recording seems to play fine in VLC so at face value it looks like an issue with MP.

After watching the recording in VLC my guess is that the PTS jumps that TsReader is detecting may be false positives. The "video" data seems to be quite discontinuous, as you'd expect for a video stream that is basically a slide show.

I'm sorry to say that problems like this are outside my area of expertise and far beyond my ability to resolve. There's nothing further I can do to assist. Having said, that I'm hopeful that Owlsroost will be able to assist further if/when he has a chance to take a look at the recording in more detail...

[edit: Just to add, I do get a brief moment of audio when I attempt to play the recording in MediaPortal (Cyberlink video and LAV audio codecs). If I change the file extension from TS to MPG the recording plays fine in MP. That almost certainly confirms the limitation/issue is in TsReader.]
