Please try with the new TsWriter in the "Help us testing the new TsWriter..." thread and if possible, delete your channels and rescan with the new filter.

I get this error too Have tried a version a month ago, and the latest, R17421. Still no luck, all I get is "No Audio/Video detected" and in the logs, I think I see a timeout.

EvilDude, you are using an analog card. TsWriter is only used for DVB-X and ATSC cards.

Ah that makes sense! Is there anyway to get my analog part of the card to work, or does TV Server only support DVB cards?

TvServer supports analog cards. I saw in your logs that you are using a software encoding card. Some of these cards require a specific encoder. Hi,

I start TV-Server. I can start timeshift an unscrambled channel under "manual control". If I start to timeshift an another unscrambled channel, I get "no audio/video" error. If I stop timeshifting before, I can timeshift the same channel though.

Portal Developers: could you get a look to my log files please (logs from following process: start timeshift Channel 9live successfully then start timeshift WDR Aachen with no video/audio error)? I hope you get the clue! This problem causes that I can`t change channel in MP, just watch the first tuned one...

Specs: Vista 32 bit Home Premium, Athlon X2 BE2400, 2GB RAM, x1250 onboard GFX, AMD 690G chipset (Asus Pundit Barebone), Technotrend S2-3200 with 5.0.0.12 BDA Driver, SVN and TVServer from 2 weeks ago, same version

PS: maybe in this line is the problem (from TV.log): "PROBLEM : descriptor lengths dont match" this comes several times

PS: I will donate few bucks if you solve this for me, I promise This would change my HTPC experience from frustration to joy!

EDIT: I made a clean new install of Vista (with latest HW drivers). I installed first ffdshow and then MP mit SVN 17324 with TV3 17324. Problem was still there (no channel change possible, no timeshift change possible). Then I configured ffdshow: set all stable video formats to ffdshow. It did the trick. Now TV-Server runs without any issues (I have to test recordings etc still), I can change channel, timeshift, epg from DVB works etc. Now I will try to install PowerDVD, ATi Codec and ProgDVD too, and hope, that this does not mess up the codec/merit config of my Vista and break my TVServer!

i have the very same problem on Satelco EasyWatch HD PCI DVB-C.
i posted in another thread as i didn't know about this one but after reading this one ,i can say my problem is deffo relted to this.

i seem to get the problem more so if i try to change the channel via EPG for some reason .
i mean the error is much more likely to happen if i change the channel via EPG.
i also get random lockups as well where i will have to restart my computer in order for it to work again as everything just hangs.
i think my problem could be related to signal as well as i get stutters all the same while watching tv but i cant understand why i can watch tv perfctly with My Theatre with the same equipment but in MP i can only get 50% signal.

can some kind soul please take a lot at my logs and tell me what problems i have in my setup ?
also is it possible at all for me to make MP use the same graph that My Theatre uses for playing back tv?

Hi all,

Today I got a Terratec Cynergy 1200-S and must say that my problems with the "No video/Audio" Error seems to be gone.
Now I added this card to my Hauppauge Nova-S+ and the TV Server is working fine with the Terratec card. But if I use second client which uses the Hauppauge card the error returns again. it seems that in my case the error is ralated to the interaction between the Hauppauge BDA driver and the MP TVE3. With TV2 (build in TV engine) the Nova card works fine too.

Is this a chipset issue? Hauppauge Nova_S+ uses a Conexant chipset while Terratec usses one prom Phillips. Is there another DVB-S/T/C card whith conexant chipset making trouble?

Hi there,

I wonder if this is real or just my imagination...
after hardboot everything seems work OK, BUT after standby and resume....:
svn 17231 worked quite well, about 90% of the time,
svn 17389 was really bad, practically not working at all after resume
svn 17500 after couple of test is is 50/60 not working

with svn 17500 also MP crashed somehow:

restarting MP did not help
using services to restart tvserver did not really restart tvservice, it only looked like it is running, but was not
after REALLY restarting tvservice all channels worked ok

i have technotrend budget c 1500 dvb card....anything to do with tt cards?
