If anyone would be so kind, would you please tell me HOW to do this? I have searched all through the settings AND all through the forums and there are all kinds of references like the above, but no reference on how to actually do it!

The setting is in the music section, 'Play now behaviour', select 'Now Playing [always]' - screenshot attached.

This only works when pressing 'Play' (or P on the keyb) not when pressing enter/return.

MP1 MP2 labels on now playing overlays incorrect for Live TV (OTA) DE

MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
