If you don't use one button music do you get the same issue?

can all also add

• Are you using BASS or directshow?
• Are you using shares or database views? (does it make a difference?)
• Are you using Cross fading? (does disabling it make a difference? )
• Do you get this is debug mode?
• Are you upmixing? (does disabling it make a difference? )
• Do you have visualisations enabled? (does disabling it make a difference)

Then can you fully explain when it happens. does it happen in standard play (so no interaction after selecting play).
Does it happen only after skipping tracks?
Does it happen only with playlists?

I know people have provided the info before but I am on my phone now. Also want to have full details from everyone in an effort to figure this out

here are the extra details:

- The problem always arises, no matter how and where I load my songs. With one button music or without one button music. I've set Mediaportal to automatically load the "now playing" screen, after loading the songs. Bug will happen with no user interaction! Sometimes it happens when picking a song manually from the playlist!
A lot of times it will happen when the second song in the playlist begins to play, but not always.
- I'm using the BASS engine.
- Crossfading is disabled.
- I also get this bug with the debug mode, option 1. Logs and screens in the first post are from the debug mode.
- I don't use upmixing.
- I don't use visualisations

Please let me know if this is enough info. I will provide more if needed. And will test fixes if they are found.

unfortunately i don't have much time for a detailed report, but i wanted to let you know, that after switching from bass engine to directshow engine the problem is now completely gone.

cyphermk: you could also try that and report if it helps on your system as well...

afaik you can't use visualizations / crossfading anymore...

i did some more tests today and can absolutely say for sure, that the bass engine is the cause of the problem on my system. i tried different buffer settings, but can reproduce the problem all the time, when bass engine is used. in direct sound mode everything is working fine.

i do not use any visualisations/crossfading or upmixing btw.

I also did some testing. Until now no problems at all using the direct show engine. But I will keep on testing to be sure. But it looks like a bass engine bug indeed!

OK could you please let me know the results from using BASS player but changing two settings (one at a time) from the default in config

• turn on/off the fade in on start option
• Set the cross-fading slide to 0s then 4s

Disabled gapless playback, and set crossfade to 0.
I got the bug!

No bug!

I will try the fade-in option now.
